Exceptional List Bro! Marvel has been establishing a vast universe for the longest time, and all that energy, time, and effort has finally come into fruition. All that's left is continuing that process, and I can't wait to see where else it leads!
I was excited for Elektra but was ultimately let down, but nothing's worse that the Ghost Rider films.
Shit...the Blade films. Anything else i'm not considering because I didn't know Howard the Duck was Marvel, and I haven't seen the other Captain America. Just stuck with the more recent stuff

Killer list, Nick. Mine would pretty much be the same, except switch one and two.
A dude can't forget Kick-Ass 2. Some people have. But, look at the title. Maybe, the studio cannot promote the film too easily, too widely. All the cool people are going to go see it, though.
Based on a list by tbondrage99

Awesome list! And thanks for including Our Idiot Brother. I absolutely loved that film.
#12 Yeah, The Woman is possibly McKee's best. Read the Ketchum book too if you are a huge fan of the movie. The book contains a little bit of extra material for the story. Readers find out what happens after the movie's ending.
11. The Perks of Being a Wallflower - 10/10!?!?
For reals, Nick? If you liked it that much, I may have to pull the trigger and rent it.
Yea Bill...I loved it! Had I watched it before I mad emy top 10 list of 2012 it would have made it without a doubt! I found nothing wrong with it
I don't know what's wrong with me, the trailer does nothing for me. Ezra Miller character annoys me in that little bit. But everyone seems to be nose over tail for it so I kind of want to see what the big deal is. Plus little I've seen Logan Lerman, I have liked him. Ahhhhh, maybe I'll just shut up and watch it. haha.

Holy shit, she's in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford?
And Yes Man is such an unexpected favorite of mine. Especially her song in it. :)
She's is really pretty and I loved her in Elf and Yes Man. I haven't seen most of the other films she was in...
The New Guy, really? With DJ Qualls? Man, that goes back so damn much, I didn't even know!!!
6 and 7 sweet! I have a new found love for Temple and I think Balboa is tremendously underrated, so good
Based on a list by TheChanges23
I am deeply dismayed to see TMP show up for TREK on so many of these lists. :(
@Yoshio...I missed that one actually...just left what was there from the list I copied, so ignore it haha. I don't remember the old Star Treks
Did you get to see "A Fantastic Fear of Everything" yet? I wonder if it's any good... I've been reading various comments.

Based on a list by walkingdeadlover
I agree with grel, these are some fantastic picks with some exceptional pics too. And can I just take the time to let you know how awesome it is that you included Lando, who i feel never gets enough love as he should. ;)
Great list. Great shot of Chewbacca, it looks like it could be for a Chewbacca spin-off movie poster for Chewbacca's TAKEN
RandomK1NG calls Man with the Iron Fists "awful." I call it very good for the right audience. Maybe, rent it next week. You seem like someone who is the right audience for RZA's kung-fu epic.
14 is something I can't wait for. While not perfect, I wouldn't mind revisting it. Also, Apatow is sure not to disappoint in the extras department.

@Beauski...yes, awesome movie. It was available on Netflix to stream. Don't know if it's still there tbough.
@Bill. ..yea man I really liked it. It was on Netflix to watch. Check it out.

You're right. He's not good anymore. But these were some of his good ones.
Three and four are two favorites. Have you seen Raising Arizona and Leaving Las Vegas? Those are good ones. Then again, your list might be more to examine his recent work.
@grelber...yea, I have never bothered to watch them...i'll have to get on that
Goody! I did not see any of this (reported) shit. Time and money were saved, so a person could waste them on sitting around drinking beer.
I thought 3 was dumb as hell, in an awesome awesome way haha, I enjoyed it -- same with 8
Yeah terrible terrible terrible. All pretty much terrible (The ones i did see.) Great list Bro!

nice! Luke Wright and especially Jean Vilain, awesome! Urban rocked it as Dredd, wish we could've seen him reprise the role but I don't think it is very likely...
Crikey !! what a line-up . I watch a fair number of these as well . Too bad about THE BLACK DONNELLYS , I was hoping it would fly .

I wasn't a fan of the Divide tbh. Thought it fell apart after a fantastic opening and he was a massive dick. I loved David though! Good list!
The whole Bondurant Family is BOSS. LAWLESS is a hell of a flick

Watching True Lies right now and was just thinking the same thing. I want a blu-ray release asap.
@Glinda...yea they're awesome!
@justbink...great movie and i'm surprised it hasn't received one yet
@Anakin...true story
Lord of the Rings shouldn't have won once let alone three times but other than that hell of a good list, Nick.
@Terminal...totally agree! Great movie, Titanic is a very blah movie in my opinion.
@Bill...well I only made my judgments based on what films were nominated that year. Most likely if I used every film released that year most of the movies on this list would be completely different...so yea haha

@WalkAway...yea she is! Also, she proved that an Olsen can actually have talent.
Based on a list by LegendarySuit
5 yes! lol and I've been wanting to see 8 forever too, good to see it get a mention!
A person should watch plenty of comedy. The genre is outstanding for one's mood. I have an uncle who believes such certainly.
Ted and 21 Jump Street were friggin' hilarious.
People have been writing that The Campaign is only pretty good. Your list seems to indicate such is the case. I should see it probably, though. I find politics interesting and funny.
^ agreed, wish it was more focused on the political satire than balancing that with butthole jokes and the like but still it was enjoyable haha
Resident Evil: Retribution was non-stop action throughout, reaaly, really enjoyed that.
nice list man! Still gotta see Retribution myself, same with Red Dawn, I think they both look decent enough to kill a couple hours, don't really have high expectations for them or anything. Looper is right up there near the top of my list too! Fantastic movie
@Cochise...see my Red Dawn review maybe it will give you an idea of the type of movie it is haha
Based on a list by horrorfan23
^ there are a bunch of horror flicks... The Last Exorcism 2, Insidious 2, The Lords of Salem, RIPD, Texas Chainsaw, Mama, Dark Skies, Carrie, Evil Dead, Black Rock, World War Z, You're Next, Satanic, I Frankenstein, Haunts, Paranormal Activity 5 and probably some others... a bunch that we haven't even begun to hear of aside from their titles and brief synopses which is cool!
@VitamanMan...no! Not yet but I need to. It's one of my most anticipated watches right now.
Based on a list by LegendarySuit
He was hilarious in Zoolander, funny in Dodgeball. But he really turned it around for me with Greenberg. It was completely different and he wasn't playing a relatively flat character.
My favorite will always be Ted in 5, but I also just love him as Gaylord Focker in 10.
Based on a list by horrorfan23
I can see the reviews for it.
"Never has doggystyle been so hilarious. A laugh riot. You will be giggling with zombie_bro in this delightful coemdy"

@slasher...right? I don't even think they showed any feeding until the 3rd or 4th movie or something. Lame.
@XSsoCX...I don't think many people will agree with me on that one haha...oh well.
@WalkAway...agreed...I don't see the appeal.
@Nite Owl...agreed! So annoying! And the next season would have been amazing. So lame.
#11 Hell yeah I use too record the hell out of Dragonball z back in the days.
@slasher...HAHA nice. I would record anything that was on. Movies, TV shows, specials...you name it. I had sooooooo many VHS tapes it was ridiculous.
I like Lord of the Rings, but I don't think it's the best movies or whatever. He's a great director. I don't see 1,2 or 3 either haha...but it's nice to wish!!! As for Edgar Wright...i'm with ya totally...I just love his movies so much that I had to add him! Haha
I think #3 would be the best. Someone who has a good grasp on large scale character stuff/worlds.

Anton Yelchin rocks! Also I love Aaron Yoo, but he kind of gets type cast into that role (he rocks it though!) would be cool if it was a bit of a switch up, he only 'plays' a stoner, but in the end reveals his true side and reveals he's the killer or something lol
Yea I like Yelchin. He always gives a good performance. I know Aaron Yoo always plays that part, but like you said, he's so good at it! Haha...I thought of switching him around at first, but said 'nah' haha

Yea man! Those 2 were nice surprises! A hell of a lot of fun. Seems like America is falling behind in the creativity department lately haha.
@Cochise...Kate was definitely awesome in Total Recall...i'm actually surprised that she made the list twice here...not a big fan
Nice list as well, haven't seen Five Year Engagement yet but I saw the Alison and Emily scene as seaseme street characters and I liked it.
I've only seen The Five Year Engagement - out of the ones you have listed - but Alison Brie and Emily Blunt were very funny!
@OldKingClancy...you should watch it...it was a nice surprise, so funny!
I just watched 21 Jump Street yesterday. Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill were a riot!
Based on a list by Terror Australis
Great picks. I have to say Elm Street would just beat Scream for me. Just. Have you seen Deadly Blessing? One of Craven's first films. It's not fantastic but it's solid enough and there's some great foreshadowing with some dream stuff and also a nifty little scene set in a barn.
I'm not a big Nightmare on Elm Street fan. I like it but it doesn't do much for me.

I definitely will, maybe it's on Netflix or I can find a cheap bluray copy on eBay.
I haven't seen Chopping Mall since I was a little kid. Need to watch it again.
@XSsoCX...it's not on Netflix or blu-ray!! I wish it was on blu-ray though...DVD is on amazon though haha.
@Anakin...watch it then! Haha

Nice inclusion of Ali. This seems like an alternative Bond and I like it.

30 Days of Night,300,I Am Legend,Live free or Die Hard,Smokin Aces & Grindhouse great picks.
I guess it depends on how one looks at it.. when he gets back to earth it is a few years later...
Oh yeah I liked them, definitely but nothing I need to watch multiple times. And yes the ending to one was aces brother.
Understandable really...I seem to find myself every year watching them again, usually so other people see them all haha
@Slasher, I love that movie! The sequels not so much, but another good movie was The Protector with Tony Jaa (if you haven't seen it yet)
@Anakin, I remember waiting for that movie for like 10 years it seemed they had talked about it for so long! Definitely didn't disappoint, I think I saw it in the theater like 4 or 5 times haha
Based on a list by OldKingClancy
Through Being Cool is a spectacular album.
I did a top ten band list a week or two ago, check it out.
Your #1 was my #1 for this year for a looooooooooooooong time but I changed it, still love it to bits.
@Derek, yea it's one of my all time favorite movies!! I need to get the blu-ray...
@Yoshio, I have actually never seen that movie...
@Anakin...the only time I have sat like that was when I saw the Grindhouse feature...and I was by myself! It was long and my ass hurt haha
Oh shit!
Well I highly urge to get on that one dude, bet you'd be pegging it squarely in your Top 5...
How much I love Grosse Point Blank, is such a great movie.
Liked Face/Off too, especially Nick as Castor Troy
So wish I had seen T2 in the theater that year.
At least I saw No. 2, Turtle Power!
@horrorfan...got the Killer Klowns blu-ray yesterday!!! Just waiting on the release of They Live, then I can be happy
Killer Klowns From Outer Space,Childs Play,Friday the 13th VII: The New Blood,Beetlejuice,Die Hard & Who Framed Roger Rabbit? good movies.
I love that movie Cochise. It probably should be higher on the list now that I think about it
Based on a list by wallcrawler383
Halloween H20! My brother took me to see that, one of the first rated 18 films I went to, he had to sneak me in! hahaha
The only movie I ever had to sneak in for was Bulletproof with Adam Sandler...it was a chore but I got in haha
Click was on the list but took it off near the end of my decision making. Love the movie its great.
Wow Zombie_bro. Wow. haha. You need Screm 1 through to 4 and then you're all set.
@Derek, thanks man! I think I may just do that!
@Anakin, haha I have those movies just never got the blu-rays...I do intend to upgrade eventually though haha
Completely agree with this list. Add Coldplay, Maroon 5, Phish, and Dave Matthews Band.
disagree with most, but I have to agree with #2. Growing up I liked them but man maybe it's cause of the radio or what I don't know but I've really grown to really really be annoyed by them.
@XSsoCX...I would add Maroon 5 but the others i'm ok with...Coldplay is ok and Phise and Dave Matthews are super talented and even though I don't like their music I still respect them.
@Cochise...it's all good! To each their own haha.
The only one ive not seen is 3. , 1. 6. 9. 7. <3
Great list. Happy Birthday Keanu .

Buffy love. Nice. Big fan of the film myself and as much as I loved the show I always thought Swanson was the better Buffy.
@Anakin, love the Buffy movie...watched a few episodes here and there of the show, hated it...
Based on a list by OldKingClancy
@rebellion...it was pretty awesome. I've wanted to go to Days of the Dead since I heard about it last year!
@JohnLocke, thanks man! Couldn't agree more
The best thing about Indy is the horror cons. Next weekend I'm going to be meeting fellow schmoe razgriz and we will be meeting stars from The Terminator(including Linda Hamilton and Michael Biehn) and Aliens at HorrorHound Weekend.
Yep, I'm bragging. =)
oh man! that sounds awesome! I at least get the Jersey and Maryland Monster Manias...they are usually a lot of fun and hopefully i'll get to go on September 29th and meet Asia Argento and Alex Winter... among others I hope :)
Like almost everything Tim has done. 1. Good taste! It's close to the top on my list. 2.! Perfect film. 6. Who could hate that one? 7. solid. 8. Pure Burton. 9. Just good fun. 11. a top 5 Burton for me. 12. cool but lacking at the finish. 13.!!! My fave! Where's my # 2? Ed Wood? ' )
I haven't seen any of these, I've been such a shitty horror fan this year.
But I'm anxious to catch a few, and V/H/S comes out soon too. Saw the trailer, looks great.

i have seen 25th hour! i had to look it up to make sure but i remember it now being a great movie! if i felt like editing this list it would make it on there somewhere
Nah the best animated film of the year is coming out in November.
A pity, it's only in Japan. :/
@Cochise - GAINAX, actually.
Yeah I imagined some anime so that's why I asked... so what is it? A new Evangelion movie?

The Bear Jew! Absolutely my favourite part of Basterds. I like this list, very well rounded. Prepared for all situations. Supernatural enemies? Ash. Zombies? Tallahassee. Stuck in the wildnerness? Bam. Ottway. haha

Childish gambino is my favorite artist. I am like so obsessed with him lol... saw him live like 2 weeks ago, it was incredible.

I forgot that World War Z was going to come out. I don't see that coming out anytime soon.
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, its been to long but Im looking forward towards seeing it.
very much looking forward to 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9 as well! And will see 4 and 6 as well!
have you heard about Oblivion?
waaaaaaaa!!! haha...its such a campy, ridiculous movie i cant help but love it
I love him for creating Freddy and the Nightmare series but aside from that I think Craven's pretty overrated. Scream never did much for me, I got bored with My Soul to Take, Cursed was just decent at best and I liked the remakes of Last House on the Left/the Hills Have Eyes better lol... still gotta see Red Eye though, that always looked cool to me

I still need to see Jersey Girl, Cop Out, Red State and Chasing Amy (I can't remember if I saw that one or not as it was YEARS ago)
Chasing Amy and Jersey Girl are on Netflix!
Based on a list by OldKingClancy
Hey, if he wasn't pulled into that bed there may not be a Johnny to feel sorry for haha
#8 I laughed very fucken hard during that scene. It was such a cathartic moment about so many modern problems. The whole film was. Hopefully, God Bless America remains popular and watched. Obviously, the film's theatre massacre has a different context now than it had earlier in 2012. One supposes that we fans can just keep recommending Goldthwait's brilliant text.
i also laughed but it was more of a shocked laugh haha...and i havent heard any backlash about that scene...yet..and hopefully it stays that way

I too am looking forward to both on Blu-ray so I can watch them again. I highly recommend both
He's probably made me cry more during films than any other actor out there.
YoshioKun is right. Perfect Blue is a good one to see. Anime can be very good drama. Moon gets recommended rightly from a few folks.
And, I add that #29 The Iron Giant is another animated must-see, for people must laud constantly about it. And, they praise it rightly.

I hear Rum Diary is a meh movie. Although the fact that it is based in Puerto Rico, Johnny Depp, and Amber Heard entices me.
It really was just blah...I got bored with it and lost any interest quickly
@terminal...take out Alice because the character sucks or because you dont like the resident evil movies?

yea i enjoyed the wolverine movie. it was fun, granted the inaccuracies of it...but i forgot to put iron man on the list so it wolverine should be removed
i do too! i hope they do the book justice because i just finished reading it and loved it
Loving your inclusion of second characters like Morbo and Roberto haha
