Watched The Artist with my mom and my aunt last night. They just could not wrap her mind around the conncept of it being a silent film. Spent half the time trying to explain it to them.
My aunt seemed to like it in the end. I figured they'd like it seeing as it's closer to their generation than mine.
Sometimes, parents just don't understand. but in your case, your aunt and mom. Hope they ended up liking it though. Such a lovable film.
