BoBW Part 1 is still being included with the S3 box set, as it should be.

This separate Blu-ray has Parts 1 and 2, presented as a feature-length film. Since Part 2 was the opener of the next season, you're actually getting a small taste of S4 way ahead of its scheduled release. This also has bonus features, commentaries that I don't believe will be included in the S3 box set.

I know that it was dropped entirely because they weren't satisfied with the quality but I'm still really interested about what was filmed. It just bugs me in general whenever there's deleted scenes that you know exist but you will never see. Also, I'm sure a lot of money was lost so if it's already filmed, we should see it just so it's not a complete waste.

Yosh, that's a testament to how truly great that show was. For you to become hooked not even seeing the entirety of the weakest episode in the series is a good sign. I really loved Lost but I was one of the 50% who hated the finale so I can't re-watch any of it knowing I'll hate the end. I wish I could erase the final season from memory actually and I could then easily rewatch the first 5 years over and over.
