Top Cameo's I want in the Avengers movie
1. Andrew Garfield - I’d love to have Spiderman, but I’d settle for Andrew Garfield just sitting in the background of a scene, looking like he is going to a class or something thus implying Spiderman is in the movie. Joss would love it, Marvel would like him it in to promote Marvel products and Sony could use it as launching pad to legitimize The Amazing Spiderman. (Possibility of it happening: 0.00000001%)
2. Heimdall - Thor needs a way to get to Earth from Asgard and who better than the logical choice, Heimdall! But with Prometheus and the Emmy for Luther, I think we would hear if Idris, one of the most popular actors right now filming something. Still, I could see Joss pulling it off (65%)
3. War Machine - I love War Machine and would love a War Machine movie. He would be perfect because the military is fighting Loki’s army and Rhodes is part of the army. However, his inclusion would be one hero too many (8%)
4. Peppermint Potts - Starks right hand and new main squeeze – she has to be in there somewhere. Plus Iron Man can’t spend the entire movie in New York, they need at least one scene with him in LA. It would be easy to put Potts in it, plus Gwyneth could shoot it in an afternoon as to spend time with Apple and Moses. (97%)
5. General Thunderbolt Ross - There is a war going on and it would be easy to show the correct guy currently in charge of the Super Soldier Program. Plus putting in a simple scene of William Hurt just pulling down binoculars saying “Good God” would tie together the Incredible Hulk and Avengers – but they may want to distance themselves from the Edward Norton era. 6. Jane Foster - Presumably this is the first time Thor is back to earth and before he left he said he would find her. When I flew back to Chicago after being in San Diego, I would try to meet up with my old booty calls as soon as I could. Plus SHEILD could use her research to get Thor to fight his brother. Portman could film it in her house, just need to film her in a room with a computer and there she is – but again a huge star taking away from the film. (35%)
7. Justin Hammer - The military is calling all hands on deck and maybe using Hammer products to show up Stark since he probably has an ego thinking the Earth needs him to be saved. Frankly, I really don’t see this happening at all, but I’d love Sam Rockwell just watching the world explode from prison. (1%)
8. Red Skull - It seems like a major plot point is the tesseract, and the last person to use it was Red Skull. A scene with Hugo Weaving figuring out how it came to earth and what it is could wrap up the whole Red Skull story. Heck, before writing this I had it at 5% but the more I write the more I could see him showing up for 10 seconds. (22%)
9. Odin - Hell yeah Anthony Hopkins showing up would be great. Since at least some part of this will probably take place in Asgard, I could see Thor debating helping out and Odin saying kick your brothers ass. Plus, Anthony Hopkins is a movie whore. (40%)
10. Happy Hogan - I love Hogan, but he seems to be someone that is forgettable for most people. You could fit him in a LA scene or driving Tony around New York – peaking his head out the window to look at the buildings. Plus Tony needs his bodyguard. A Potts scene is a lot more likely plus with my favorite DJ Favreau not directing Iron Man 3, the odds are really low. (4%)
11. Bucky - I’m not 100% on Loki’s army, but I could see them squeezing something with a Winter Soldier in there, also setting up Cap 2. Plus this is Steve’s first trip around New York without his best friend and former body guard, a scene with him reminiscing with Colby Smothers about Bucky protecting him could be easy to film . . . but frankly a waste of the movie. (5%)
12. Colonel Chester Philips - I’d love a really (REALLY) old Tommy Lee Jones, but I can see Nick Fury saying something about Chester starting the SHEILD program or something to make Steve like him and showing a picture on the wall. But it probably won’t happen (2%)
13. Stan Lee - He is not in it according to IMDB . . . but I’m sure he will be. (100%)
In the 4 hour version of The Avengers, maybe.
In Captain America 2, probably.
In Avengers . . . I'm not so sure. Love for it happen, but not sure if it will.
Pepper Pots is a 100% she was in one of the trailers and that actually got me a bit excited.. I would love to see anything Spiderman related.
I honestly believe Red Skull is gonna show his ugly head. He has to. The way Captain America ended...I mean. Come on.
