Lot of great scenes and moment, I don't know if I could get my own list down to ten.

Based on a list by The Bodyguard
Given your username I am honest to god surprised to see that number 1 choice on the list.

Based on a list by Kevin Smith fan

I'd be totally up for Urban as Batss and he'd be a nice, fun, unsullen Bruce Wayne also (I think)

Nice list, i would have Shawshank a little higher on mine but would be very similar to your list. not seen The good, the bad & the ugly.

Great list!
Just caved in and bought Tokyo Drift so I'll be copying this list soon.

Pines was amazeballs man, absolutely loved Oblivion too. can't wait to see Pain & Gain and Star Trek especially.
Great list! I want to see Mud so badly if I can separate MM from Killer Joe, which I'm having a hard time doing.
I loved Oblivion and Olympus and still want to see IM3 and Pines.

Great list, agreed. I just watched Nemesis for the first time a week ago, really underrated Trek movie and Tom Hardy, whom I didn't even realize was in it, was AWESOME as the villain.

I wish I could find the gif with Short Round going "Let us out!" and Willie going "Let me in!"

Cabin In The Woods was so much fun, and Insidious scared me shitless. Great list.
loved 4 and 7 and enjoyed 8... the rest I really didn't like or hated haha, but I still have to see the new Evil Dead and am really lookin forward to it! Nice list regardless though man, nice gifs!

stoked for #2, that's a sweet poster too! The Rise was a great surprise. Can't wait to see Serkis in the role again.
Can't wait to see Phoenix in Inherent Vice too, and Ten looks and sounds like it could be totally badass.
Also looking forward to Fast 7, and I'm not even that excited for Fast 6, but mainly because of the guy who you posted a pic of... btw that is a pretty big spoiler/meant to be a secret/meant to be a surprise reveal at the end of Fast 6 so you may want to take it down for those that don't want to be spoiled/don't know already, but it's your choice obvs
Looks like Schwarzenegger really whipped himself back into shape for TEN. He was still kind of frumpy in The Last Stand ha-ha.
Ugh. So that's Fast 7 the end of Fast 6 spoiled. :/ I had no idea about that

Django did have the cast going on. Looper, Dark Knight Rises, and Lawless deserve fully their mentions too. Lawless has quite a few admirable supporting performances.
damn good list. Nice to see Javier Bardem on here I thought he was great in Skyfall too.

sweet list dude, especially stoked for Blomkamp's Elysium, Man of Steel and The Wolverine over here!!

These are so awesome and getting me all the more hyped up and excited for next week!

Based on a list by JohnLocke2342
Hulk makes my list too. A person notices that ol' Green Genes does not necessary make too many of these lists on National Superhero Day. Maybe, people do not want to admit that they relate to him.

Still think the Burton movies(along with TAS of course) gave us the most iconic imagery. Okay so did Schumacher but, for all the wrong reasons...
Burtons Batman movies i grew up with, Forever & B&R were ok i guess great cast of villians but really cheesey, The Dark Knight trilogy is fucking awesome.

nice, loved 1 and 8 they'll both be on my year end list I bet, Pines could possibly be at the top too! GI Joe 2 was entertaining too, solid stuff. Didn't really care for the rest, The Last Stand was alright but a pretty big disappointment for me. I thought Gangster Squad and especially Olympus were really weak myself, but I am interested in checking out Evil Dead for sure at some point and maybe Dead Man Down when it's on TV or something! Nice list!

Some steller choices here. You can vote for some of them in the competition, I think a Han VS Indy final would be interesting. http://www.moviefancentral.com/oldkingclancy/blogs/heroes--villains-contest
Gosling plays troubled characters masterfully: Drive, Half Nelson, Gangster Squad. Yet, he manages to have a varied career even with this one consistency. Ides of March was a nice break from the usual for him.
you know I'd actually have to say Pines was his best character too, even though he didn't get as much screentime as the others. Blue Valentine is a close second for me. Half Nelson would be #3, great stuff as well. Nice list!
Great list. There sure have been a lot of really good movies in the last decade.
im actually confused about that, haha,i just call it the professional but it might be called Leon !

I know, I know.
Maybe if I wait a little they'll screen them in a theater like with the other ones I've been catching.
I LOVED the remake! :D The original film is a masterpiece as well :) Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness are both great, but I'm not bit into horror/comedies sadly.

there both great & amazing movies, but Robert De Niro's performance in Part II makes it better than Part I,but thats just my opinion ! ha
PART II demolishes I and III. Part II is the fucking GODFATHER.

YES! Great to see his Our Idiot Brother role there. Not only a hilarious and memorable character, but a surprisingly deep one as well. That charade scene surprised the hell out of me and was so emotionally effective, great stuff even if it was so small. He was great comedically for sure, but a really great subtle dramatic performance in there as well

Based on a list by Kevin Smith fan
Your top 4 are great man, I like all of those and nothing can touch Carpenter's The Thing when it comes to remakes.

really looking forward to catching #5! Same with 1 as well at some point. I really hope GI Joe 2 is a nice surprise, but I'm keeping my expectations low... same thing with DMD (probably just wait til blu-ray or TV for that one though)
I saw #1 last night at an advanced screening, and let me tell you it deserves to be your number one of the month. It was fantastic.

I love this post!!!!!! After his career is over he will be hailed as one of the greatest of all time. From the Fans and the Academy there is no doubt he is a true Cinefile.
I thought you had them ranked for a second there haha, whoops. Absolutely loved The Departed too man

Great actor. I don't think he has any horrible performances in his career. He's notoriously very picky for choosing projects and I respect him for doing that.

Cool! My favorite three made your top eight: Walking Tall, Faster, and Gridiron Gang. In the Strike Backs, everyone was mentioning Faster. Truly, it is a great movie. Besides Johnson, Maggie Grace, Billy Bob Thorton, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and Lester Speight give strong performances.

Nah that's a copout on 19, ya gotta pick one!
Strongly disagree on 7 and 13.

every time i watch Cuckoos Nest I Cant Stop Laughing, then at the end i start tearing up ,ha

The 21st century does not look like a bad place for a sci-fi geek to be.
Sunshine made the list. It should. I like the list.

You pick a few that not everyone has seen. People should see Gridiron Gang and Invincible. They should watch them this week. Remember the Titans is another one that people should see if they haven't.
This is a good list, good recommendations.
nice! Love Replacements, Longest Yard (remake) and the Waterboy... Rudy is always a jerker too!

Based on a list by OldKingClancy
I don't think #1 will happen, in our lifetime at least, unless Disney pulls a fast one and decides to reboot the saga...

Thor, Wolvie, Wolf, Steel, Oblivion, Smaug, Anchorman, Sin City 2 and friggen Elysium!! Yes!!
No "Carrie" "The Lone Ranger" "The Lords of Salem" or "G.I.*Joe:Retaliation" ?
Carrie & Lords of Salem look really interesting..G.I.Joe looks cool,Lone Ranger looks horrible ! haha

Great list. Toy Story and Shrek are the rare movies I actually love the sequels to, although Toy Story 3 is my least fav.

hell yes, Willis is the man... I wish we had more of him in Looper, he was so good in it!

nice! My list was just his movies instead of performances because I haven't seen Adaptation and Raising Arizona, which I hear are two of his very best, if not his two best according to most. He was great in Bringing out the Dead, and I loved him in Kick-Ass so much haha, I hope to see him in the sequel in some capacity.
Also have you ever seen Bad Lieutenant with him? Although it's not one of my favourite movies of his, it is probably my favourite performance of his

P.S....im personally not counting Zero Dark Thirty because IT COMES OUT IN JAN. haha
^Except they released it already, it was just a limited release. If you're going by those rules, you can't really count Silver Linings Playbook either because that never opened wide.
awesome list mate. A couple of them are already on mine as well, but I can't make a final cut of the list just yet. Many movies here will be available over here by February-March, so I'll probably do mine in time for the Oscars

The Fellowship of the Ring is my favorite out of all 3 of them but I don't think the intensity is lost in 2/3. However, I think I know what you're talking about and it's why Amon Hen is my favorite battle in the trilogy. In The Two Towers/ROTK there's more of a focus on comedy like the body count between Legolas/Gimli and a bunch of one liners. On top of that you get the "superhero" aspect of Legolas flying down the stairs on a shield, slaying an Oliphaunt and the rest of them kicking the shit out of guys without too much of a struggle.
In Amon Hen the fellowship lost.. period. They got their asses handed to them and only survived because the Uruk-Hai hauled ass when it was over. Legolas is dirty and fucked up, Aragorn is bleeding all over the place and exhausted, Boromir lies dead and Merry and Pippin are kidnapped. That entire fight sequence was "close combat" and much more realistic/brutal and that's why I love it so fucking much.. I always prefer those types of fights to full on assaults on the battlefield and that's why it ranks higher on my list.
Now, that isn't to say that 2/3 don't have those moments because there are a handful at Helm's Deep (Haldir's death/the courtyard) and in ROTK that still keep that same gritty, nastiness in tact.. it's just a different style and tone of fighting in those movies, u know? When the scale is upped dramatically and the character count rises you can't really focus on the one on one aspect anymore, and because of that we get some TRULY EPIC battle scenes. Both are great in my opinion but I'm always biased towards the first type.
ROTK is my favourite, simply because it's basically a two hour battle and it was fuckin Epic. But Fellowship is a very close second, it feels a lot more personal and for as much as I love the Minus Turith battle everything (and I mean Everything) that happens in Moria is my favourite part of the trilogy, it's just perfect.

fucking brilliant choices. Love all of them but 9 and I haven't seen 10. De Niro was amazing in that movie, I just wish he was the focus/had more screentime
9 & 10 are not even close to how great 1-8 are,but there easily top 10
and thats what was great about de niro in that movie, every time he's on screen, its EPIC,same as the joker & the jew hunter

Based on a list by JohnLocke2342

have you seen The Sunset Limited? If you haven't I think you should, def one of my fave performances from him

i actually havent,i want 2 though, really bad,haha..i needa get it on amazon or something

Based on a list by andyfilm_1
i have a feelin that DJANGO UNCHAINED will be better than all these movies, haha

Ah. Well it's the first STAR TREK anything I ever saw. I was completely anti-TREK until that point, and it instantly got me hooked on TNG. Made me a fan for life.

it'd be cool to see them go to Germany and France for sure!
Carnahan would be very cool to see

Take out Collateral and add The Dancer Upstairs. Beautiful film. My first Javier Bardeem film actually.

nice! I picked up the Indy set on blu-ray not too long ago and am dyin to check it out finally

Sadly I've only seen three of these Avengers, Prometheus and Looper. I loved all of them but I think Looper is my favorite movie of the year so far.
