I don't get all the hate for kids movies on here. They're kids movies, so obviously we're not going to like them that much per say. And of course they're going to do well at the box office, you can't exactly take your children to see Prometheus. Instilling love for movies at a young age starts with movies for younger ages.
I agree. Commentators need to appreciate that every film has an audience, and that audience has a different aesthetic perhaps, and that situation is okay; different strokes for different folks, and so on and so on and shooby-dooby-dooby; we got to live together!
I have nothing against kids movies, love them. But I do wish Madagascar was released on a different weekend...I would like to have seen Prometheus get #1 for at least one weekend, but it is doing really well though!
If I ever mentioned some disdain for Madagascar 3 is not because it's a kids movie, but because I remember not being very fond of #2 and thinking it didn't warrant a 3rd outing. Having said that, I tend to go see most kids movies out there ESPECIALLY when animated, and will actually go see M3 this week, I've heard it's surprisingly fun. Ice Age 3 was surprisingly fun as well so this time it may also be true.

I watched The Devil Inside but it was so bad that it wasn't even worth making a review for.
When the last scene starts I thought "it'd be funny if ...[spoiler]... and they just roll credits." And then they did exactly that. It was hilarious. Most scenes were like that, so I was at least entertained in that aspect.
