The demon thing was hysterical. I couldn't stop laughing at the reveal. If they hadn't showed it, at all, the movie would have been infinitely better. Ah, well. You can't win 'em all.
Yes, totally agree with this. I still felt it was a solid movie and I look forward to future viewings with friends but it lost a lot of its scares the more it chose to reveal. I didn't like the whole physical tussle with one of ghouls in the house, parapsychologists and their arrogant explanations of "The Further" were kind of eye-rolling and please explain why Patrick Wilson's insists on shouting "HELLO!?" when he was just instructed NOT to interact with the dead.













The thing that threw me out of the movie was the creacher/demon... as soon as they showed him he became funny and nonthreatning. But the first hour of the movie I couldn't watch with the lights off
