I love Kick-Ass...I havent read your article yet but that was in my Top 10 of that year.
ill add this, i saw it at its premiere at south by southwest, for a while people were into it and cheering, but soon the laughing and cheering died, as the violence grew more and more extreme, especially in the torture scene, i, like you, am not opposed to violence, but here it was just "off"
