Review:

This is a seriously fucked up movie! Not only does our friend Werner Herzog focus a ton of screen time to random reptiles (crocodiles, iguanas, snakes, lizards), but Nicolas Cage is just as drugged out as ever. Only this time he's supposed to be, because his character is actually on drugs. I wouldn't be surprised if he had been, too. Nick Cage plays, as the title suggests, a "Bad Lieutenant" whose "Port of Call" is "New Orleans." After hurricane Katrina, it's not hard to be a bad cop, and Nick Cage is really good at it. He's involved in drugs, gambling, bribery, and all sorts of other crazy shit (like death threats to old women), and plays all the sides against each other so that he always comes out ahead. He's investigating a massacre, but shit gets serious when he loses the witness and people start filing complaints. Then he can't pay his dealer, and his sortof girlfriend gets into an even worse situation with another dealer. I'm really not giving anything away, either. Which is awesome. How the movie ends up playing out is a hilarious bit of irony that's so fucked up that it perfectly reflects Nick Cage's life. I'm sure a lot of people will dislike it, (I already know Jenna Busch does) but I loved the flick. Check it out!

YES! So glad you liked all of the fucked up elements that made this thing a rampaging good time. Nic Cage side-staring the iguana for two minutes is priceless

So much of that shit just made me laugh out loud for longer than I care to admit. Those two minutes with the iguana are two of my favorite recent minutes of life. And I LIKE my life.
