I know I'm on thin ice here, but I was also a bit underwhelmed by Fincher's workmanship directing. It all looked very crisp and professional, but there was nothing here that stood out visually. Aside from that, I didn't care for/empathize with any of the (spoiled) characters and their petty problems (a “who did most of the work?” fight that results in all involved walking away filthy rich – and the world's youngest billionaire pining for his ex), and no matter how forcibly Reznor's bombastic score tries to suggest otherwise, people banging away on keyboards isn't exciting or suspenseful or whatever. Oh, and I don't remember 2003 looked so futuristic!

How are you schmoes doing? Sorry that I've been such a no-show these past three months or so. School-work-school-work-school-work. Etc. On top of that I'm also trying to update my blog once in a while and I'm also expected to work on a book scheduled for a winter 2011 release. I miss and heart you all!

John Carpenter's The Ward was a major league letdown. I had to sit through 90 minutes of so so material to get to the big reveal, which was exactly what I thought (feared) it would be when I saw the trailer six months ago. Ugh.

Yes, I am ashamed to admit.........I have not yet popped my EXORCIST cherry. I nearly went to see the re-release version you mention in theaters last October, but it was a one-day event and I missed it. :(

But thanks to you, I shall defintiely steer clear and stick with the original for my first viewing. And I always watch(and play) horror alone!
