Jeepers Creepers 2

Victor Salva gave us a very cool first flick , ( putting aside his ' piece of shit ' ways) JUSTIN LONG and GINA PHILLIPS were great , and damn , is that MOFO sweet , he's got a sense of humor as well !! So how did the inevitable sequel fare ? MEH . On the last day of his feeding frenzy , our CREEPER friend has got his eyes on the prize, a busload of high schoolers returning from a basketball game . After a beautiful opening sequence , things go...... ah...... nowhere .While there are some nifty scenes in this badboy, there's really nothing to elevate the film above that, not anyone amongst the teens , is able to provide anything other than irritation . only RAY WISE'S Captain Ahab , White Whale, like mission is of any interest at all . Stereotype 101 , amongst the teens, geeks , jocks , promiscuous girl , pristine ' final girl ' , been there done that, who cares !! Even JUSTIN LONG'S cameo as a ghostly apparition , who warns the teens to turn back, can only provide any reaction at all !! Everything of interest established in the first film, is added here , re-using stale material , and offering nothing at all as far as development goes , An open ending , of sorts , let's us know there's plans for another installment , let's hope they can find their way home, and give anything remotely similar to the first effort, I can't sit through another one like this !!
