I love this movie. Pumpkinhead is actually one of the best films about revenge ever made. Yes, it is a simple horror movie. But, it's stylistic simplicity is its beauty. When watching, I empathize greatly with the Lance Hendriksen character, but I understand the morale of the Pumpkinhead story. For some viewers, Pumpkinhead provides a fable exploring where ugly feelings lead us, no matter how justified those feelings are.
