No, Evil Dead was not great. No, Evil Dead was not "good". No, Evil Dead wasn't even bad.
What it was though, was a great sight to see. Practical FX is an art form long forgotten that I loved seeing in full capacity for 90 minutes. Evil Dead has plenty of blood, gore, and gross outs. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and had the most fun I've had in the theater so far this year.

Picked up the book HATER today because of the Guillermo Del Toro mini-review on the cover... Then what do you know, Del Toro has the rights to the film and is producing said film to be made.. 50 pages in and I love the damn book, and the pressure is already building. Bring on a movie.

Horrible Bosses was my favorite comedy of the year thus far, but then I saw 30 Minutes or Less...

Long live R-rated comedy! And 30 Minutes or Less is most DEFINITELY R-RATED.

Watched Resident Evil: Afterlife today. Yeah, it wasn't great but, there were enough gunshots to feel at home. Second, saw Captain America a few days ago and I gotta say I think it's my least fav of the Marvel Studios films... Still about 8-8.5/10.
The post-credits action was boss! I definitely feel as you feel. I think had it come out before the others, it would have looked a ton better. But it felt like just another Marvel Studios, which by no means is a bad thing. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to watch it again on Blu-ray, but I'd rank Thor, Iron Man, and Incredible Hulk among some of my favorite films of the last few years. At least on an entertainment scale...
Yeah, I hear ya. A comic movie is like sex. Even if it's bad, it's still sex! Exception= Elektra. Elektra is more like a trip to the proctologist. Even if it had of went ok, you still wish that you hadn't had to go. ;P
I still stand by RE:A as the best 3D experience I've had in an IMAX theater. I haven't given it a watch since, but I maintain that it might have been better in 3D.

Two things to say about Harry Pothead and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 2. One, I've never seen so many people at a movie theater in my life and some of which I would've much enjoyed not sitting in front of. Two, the movie was epic, not a perfect movie in any way, but an awesome flick to end a story that's been a long time in the making.

I love you all. Insidious scared the shit out of me like no movie has done in awhile. Few cheap scares, great score and it's really well made. It genuinely gave me the chills.

It's got a tough task with me, no question. I'm a rather hard egg to crack when it comes to genuine horror and fright. I don't really see that movies can be scary, not anymore. Not after you play a good horror video game that offers a an interactive and more immersive experience.

Yea I dig 311. Limp Bizkit has a new record out as well which is really good.
A couple of the tracks are pretty good. The rest is throwaway. Stoked for 311. Always enjoyed them.

Should I buy Insidious..? Can't decide if it's worth the blind buy or not, I love horror but usually I don't enjoy PG-13 horror...

Watched Heavy Metal in Baghdad last night. Great doc, definitely makes me appreciate my ability to headbang freely to metal music.
She's gorgeous! I would like to see more of her. She's a talented actress as well. She should be a superstar actress by now.
