No, Evil Dead was not great. No, Evil Dead was not "good". No, Evil Dead wasn't even bad. What it was though, was a great sight to see. Practical FX is an art form long forgotten that I loved seeing in full capacity for 90 minutes. Evil Dead has plenty of blood, gore, and gross outs. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and had the most fun I've had in the theater so far this year.

Cujo sort of counts as a possessed pet flick. It's never made clear in the film, but the book hints at the dog being possessed by the ghost of the killer from King's Dead Zone.
