I've told people numerous times that horror movies are about 90% stupid mistakes/actions. If anyone used the slightest bit of common sense I firmly believe that more than half of the horror movies that exist, wouldn't....but what do you guys think?
^ What he said, it's mostly in the slasher genre.. and that's one of the reasons I'm not really a fan of them (with the exception of Scream).
Something like SCREAM is great in the way it pokes fun at all those old tired cliches and stereotypes of the genre. Even though it embraced them all the same.
Exacty. Horror movies can only exist because of stupid decisions. Something I wish some of our WTF viewers would have understood before jumping down our throats in the strikebacks.
The people in ghost movies are the dumbest. If the walls start bleeding and the furniture is spinning then GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE HOUSE, DUMBASS!
Supernatural GHOST movies often tend to fall into that category too, yeah.

That prob applies more to the 'Slasher' sub-genre more than anything else. I don't think it happens really in say, psychological horror movies. That type of horror is more to my liking anyhow.
