Man Ryan Reynolds seems almost desperate to attach himself to a franchise or movie series. I guess his stock in Hollywood isn't as great as it once was.
Terminal_83
Terminal_83 at 07:39 PM Mar 23

Seriously? He began in Blade Trinity where they were going to spin off the Wolf Pack in to their own movie series. When that failed, Reynolds went over to Wolverine where they claimed they'd spin off Deadpool, that's been in limbo for a long time, then Reynolds starred as GL in a movie expected to launch a series. Now that the a sequel will never happen, Reynolds is now attached to the Highlander reboot. He's looking for a series to keep his work consistent.

Ah I see what you mean now, but I don't really see it as him 'trying everything he can to get in a franchise' desperately or something lol. I think it's just that most big movies these days, at least action/fantasy ones are, or turn into, franchises. He does the rom coms and then the smaller dramas as well, but when he's in the spotlight he's doing the big blockbuster action or fantasy movies or whatever, which again seem to have a much larger tendency to turn into franchises nowadays -- if it's successful, it'll be a franchise basically. Didn't know that about Blade Trinity though, I would've liked to have seen more of that Hello My Name Is Fuck You character though haha, that was fun

Yep. There's a famous article online from an online reporter who spent a week on the set of Blade Trinity and chronicles how Wesley Snipes self-destructed. I highly suggest reading it. It's shocking, funny, and sad.

Once the studios realized Snipes wasn't in to playing Blade anymore and was impossible to work with, they pushed for a Wolfpack spin off movie and series, but that never took off.

I fucking love how organic that entire scene is and I'm not 100% sure but it sounds mostly unscripted, no? For example when Travolta comes crashing onto the lawn he flubs a couple of lines but just keeps going and it makes the scenario work so much better because, well, of course he's flustered!

I, I gotta stab her three times?

Terminal_83
Terminal_83 at 05:33 AM Mar 23

@JL: Yeah Travolta definitely comes off as natural for the fact he messes up some lines in the lawn scene. It's a wonderful moment.

@Nite Owl: Something.

Do you see the sign on the front of my house that says "Dead [African-American] Storage"? It isn't there 'cause storing dead [African-American]s is none of my [rooty-toot-toot]in' business!

My rare visits to Movie Hotties is scary lately. I've never been to a website filled with gorgeous women that make me feel guilty to have a penis before.

I know, I've been watching you on my hidden camera. Your fans are gonna be very happy when I upload the footage to the Terminal Uncensored fansite I started. The videos of you pooping always get a great response from the "Termites," as they call themselves.

Would you be open to doing some advertising, you know to generate some revenue for the site? I was thinking something along the lines of a tasteful tattoo on your butt that reads; "I swallowed the foot-long at Jimmy's Wiener Shack." They're our biggest sponsor, after-all.

I have Corman's "Fantastic Four" on DVD. It's infinitely better than Tim Story's monstrosities.

I really quite enjoyed "Bates Motel." Man, Vera Farmiga is ravishing.

Is there even 27 characters to kill off? They gotta be counting walkers in that scenario too.

Alan Tudyk as Michael Scott would have been incredible. But then Tudyk is never bad.

Is that the one where she plays like a soldier or something, and stops to bang a Dude on a desk in the middle of a hostage crisis?

Terminal_83
Terminal_83 at 10:04 AM Mar 19

Yep, she plays a helicopter pilot and mid-way she gets drilled by an enemy. Imagine that scenario in Die Hard. Imagine it!

Would've made that Bill Clay scene a little more interesting, ehh? Definitely would've needed a smoke after that ;{)

Tod McFarlane is frighteningly pretentious, Holden looks annoyed by him, and the comedian seems to be trying to alleviate the tension.

Kevin Eastman: Honest the new movie is good! Honest I'm not a sell out! Honest!
Terminal_83
Terminal_83 at 12:39 PM Mar 17

If it's half as good as the cartoon that's on now, I'll be happy.

Nite Owl
Nite Owl at 04:12 AM Mar 19

It's hard to really be to critical about Eastman's remarks on the new movie. Because if he had any artistic integrity to begin with, then they never would've made the original cartoon, toy's, pudding pies, cereal, tooth paste, underwear and what not that made us all TMNT fans to begin with. All I want is a fun movie, but given the "talent" producing it I have very low expectations. Either way, I already have my Turtle flick, so no big loss if it sucks anyway. We've always got the OG classic...

Terminal_83
Terminal_83 at 08:51 AM Mar 19
