Ah I see what you mean now, but I don't really see it as him 'trying everything he can to get in a franchise' desperately or something lol. I think it's just that most big movies these days, at least action/fantasy ones are, or turn into, franchises. He does the rom coms and then the smaller dramas as well, but when he's in the spotlight he's doing the big blockbuster action or fantasy movies or whatever, which again seem to have a much larger tendency to turn into franchises nowadays -- if it's successful, it'll be a franchise basically. Didn't know that about Blade Trinity though, I would've liked to have seen more of that Hello My Name Is Fuck You character though haha, that was fun
Yep. There's a famous article online from an online reporter who spent a week on the set of Blade Trinity and chronicles how Wesley Snipes self-destructed. I highly suggest reading it. It's shocking, funny, and sad.
Once the studios realized Snipes wasn't in to playing Blade anymore and was impossible to work with, they pushed for a Wolfpack spin off movie and series, but that never took off.

Seriously? He began in Blade Trinity where they were going to spin off the Wolf Pack in to their own movie series. When that failed, Reynolds went over to Wolverine where they claimed they'd spin off Deadpool, that's been in limbo for a long time, then Reynolds starred as GL in a movie expected to launch a series. Now that the a sequel will never happen, Reynolds is now attached to the Highlander reboot. He's looking for a series to keep his work consistent.
