Dear Terminal, you totally misunderstood my reaction to Ms Data. Indeed, criticism is a valid thing. I am merely pointing out that if you're writing movies professionally, you write to the product the studio/network wants to buy. the same standard applies when writing criticism. You have to take into account the market for which the film was intended. When criticizing movies, it's absurd evaluating everything on the same yardstick. All best.

Oh most definitely. You can't measure Citizen Kane against Seven Samurai, nor can you measure Alvin and Chipmunks against Aladdin, but you have to have some bar raised for film quality and the like.
