Now embarking on Ridley's 194min epic masterpiece on the Crusades that is KINGDOM OF HEAVEN (DC)...note that it seems you must still qualify which version you're watching. Can we decree this is the only one that exists from here on.
I agree with Weapon X. I wish the director's cut was the only version available, it's so much better. It's proof that you just have to let Ridley do his thing and make the movie he wants to. It's one of my favorites from Ridley Scott. The theatrical is a mediocre film but the director's cut is a damn near masterpiece.
The director's cut is pretty bad-ass, much stronger than the theatrical version.
By far my favorite Ridley Scott flick, it truly is a masterpiece.
As far as there being another version of it floating around out there I call those claims unsubstantiated.
^ Same here. Can't believe the love the DC gets. Thought the original cut was okay at best. Will have to check out this.
We still need the theatrical cut as a reminder of what happens when producers think they know better than the director.
