Casino Royale

2006-casino_royale-1

Directed by: Martin Campbell
Written by: Neal Purvis, Robert Wade
Cast: Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, Eva Green, Mads Mikkelsen, Jeffrey Wright, Giancarlo Giannini, Caterina Murino, Simon Abkarian
Studio: MGM
Genre: Thriller
Official Site: www.sonypictures.com/movies/casinoroyale/
Plot: From IMDB, In his first mission, James Bond must stop Le Chiffre, a banker to the world's terrorist organizations, from winning a high-stakes poker tournament at Casino Royale in Montenegro.

Review:

Let me just say that James Bond is the man. While growing up I watched James Bond's adventures every time I saw them on TV. Usually it was Roger Moore or Sean Connery that I got but every now and then I would be lucky enough to see the newer Bond movies with Timothy Dalton. Even the movies that weren't so good I got endless enjoyment out of...[more]...

Excellent film, the best Bond entry since Goldeneye.

If you don't own this on Blu-Ray yet do yourself a favor and pick up a copy.

one of the best bond films imo

Director Martin Campbell has saved the Bond franchise twice, with this movie and Goldeneye. You don't even have to be a 007 fan to enjoy this movie.

Be Kind Rewind

2008-be_kind_rewind-1

Directed by: Michel Gondry
Written by: Michel Gondry
Cast: Jack Black, Mos Def, Danny Glover, Mia Farrow
Studio: New Line
Genre: Comedy
Official Site: www.bekindmovie.com
Plot: From IMDB, Two bumbling store clerks inadvertently erase the footage from all of the tapes in their video rental store. In order to keep the business running, they re-shoot every film in the store with their own camera, with a budget of zero dollars.

Review:

Be Kind Rewind is one of those movies that suffers from a pretty good trailer but with no follow through in the movie. After watching the trailer Be Kind Rewind seemed like a sure fire thing for me. Why wouldn't it be? It was about two guys who shot versions of popular movies after they erased all the tapes in their rental store. Unfortunately pretty much everything that was funny in the movie was prominently featured in the trailer...[more]...

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules

Diary-of-a-wimpy-kid2-poster

Directed by: David Bowers

Cast: Zachary Gordon, Robert Capron, Rachael Harris, Devon Bostick, Steve Zahn
Studio: Fox
Genre: Comedy, Family
Official Site:
Plot: From IMDB, Back in middle school after summer vacation, Greg Heffley and his older brother Rodrick must deal with their parents' misguided attempts to have them bond.

Review:

The first Diary Of A Wimpy Kid was by no means a great movie but it was decent enough to not offend me so why not give the second movie a chance as well...[more]...

In honor of tonight's WWE PPV why not go vote on round three of The MFC Greatest Wrestler Ever Tournament! http://www.moviefancentral.com/tbondrage99/blogs/the-mfc-greatest-wrestler-ever-tournament-round-three

The MFC Greatest Wrestler Ever Tournament Round Three

Mfc_title

Well folks the time has come for the competition to really pick up! The last round saw some big match ups that resulted in big time names like Sting, The Rock John Cena, Randy Orton Rowdy Roddy Piper, Eddie Guerrero, Dusty Rhodes, Rey Mysterio and Hulk Hogan to all be defeated. Two clear cut favorites have emerged as well. Both Macho Man Randy Savage & Ric Flair both defeated their opponents in this round the same way they defeated their opponents in the first round, without a single vote against them. This is an epically impressive task when you consider that they defeated The Outsiders, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall respectively. Of course the competition only gets harder from here on out and both have some pretty tough opponents this time. I don't want to make any predictions but it seems safe to say that the shut outs are probably over at this point. So now we are down to our sweet sixteen and I don't think anyone could of predicted that some of the wrestlers that have made it to this point, Jerry The King Lawler and Ravishing Rick Rude might both be awesome but I think they are long shots to win this thing at best but stranger things have happened. The only thing for sure about this round is that the voting will be much harder and some more great names will drop from the tournament. Let the voting begin.

Fear for your favorite wrestler being eliminated this round? Go ahead and campaign for them, convince others to vote your way! Well like I said we have some tough ones for round three. The worse part though? Next Sunday round four will be even tougher! See you then!

Spaceballs

Studio: MGM
Genre: Sci-Fi, Comedy

Plot: From IMDB, Planet Spaceball's President Skroob sends Lord Dark Helmet to steal Planet Druidia's abundant supply of air to replenish their own, and only Lone Starr can stop them.

Review:

Mel Brooks does it again! The Star Wars trilogy is the biggest most popular movie series of all time so you had to know that the master of parody Mel Brooks would eventually sink his teeth into the Star Wars saga...[more]...

@BigEvil, Your right. I had a list of the movies opened and The Living Daylights was right next to A View To A Kill and in my infinite laziness I was copy and pasting the names to avoid the 2 seconds it would take to type them. Guess I highlighted the wrong movie. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
