Review:

Let me just start off by saying that I love the fact that Disney went back to its traditional art style with this movie, it looks beautiful and in a day were it seems every animated movie is CGI its nice to great to see some good old fashioned traditional animation once again. Hopefully Disney will keep doing the traditional animation and leave the CGI to Pixar.

So once again we have yet another Disney Princess movie in a somewhat twisted version of a classic fariy tale. I wasn't to excited about this movie and I decided to skip it in theaters. Good call on my part. Granted the movie was fantastic and I'm sure little girls everywhere will love this movie the story is pretty good as well, I guess it just wasn't for me but that's no fault of the movie. The main thing I disliked about the movie were the villains, they just didn't seem that threatening in the movie at any point to me. I think its safe to say that The Shadow Man won't be remembered as one of the most fierce of the Disney baddies.

For me this movie is only worth a rental, but if your the parent of a little girl then I say go ahead and purchase it she will love this movie the same way that little girls loved The Little Mermaid twenty years ago.
