I only wanted to see this movie because of the hype around it. I have seen enough horror/teen slasher movies to know what to expect however this brought an original and fun twist to the genre.
Right from the start you can tell the film makers are having fun and not taking things too seriously with many laugh out loud moments. However the comedy takes a back seat once the blood starts to flow and it builds towards an exciting and unexpected conclusion.
I loved this movie because I love creativity and I always criticise film makers for continually making the same predictable, repetitive drivel. But Joss Whedon & Drew Goddard served us with a unique take on a familiar story.
The only con I found was the actors playing the college kids became a little boring as the movie went on however they did a decent job overall.
Spread the word - Cabin In the Woods is the real deal.
I want too see this movie now, after all the good feed back its been getting.
