Christopher Nolan films don't seem to hold up real well on repeated viewings.
Which ones in particular?
I see you're making MFC cameo appearances lately, lol.
The Dark Night and Inception most recently (Memento to a lesser extent as well). Both still great flicks, but I just don't seem to dig them as much after the first watch.
I am actually trying to break into "small roles", rather than "cameos" on here as of late.:)
I agree, but even so, he does so much right that the movies are still enjoyable.
I've already brought up the fact that Inception is mostly exposition, but that applies to a lot of his flicks. I just find that he went overboard with it on Inception. Another thing that disappointed me about Inception is how Ariadne is shown twisting and folding the dream world in cool ways, but it doesn't come into play later on.
I just want to tell him "you don't have to explain everything!" Which is weird advice considering a movie like Inception purposefully has a vague ending.
I really like The Prestige, but I thought that movie could have done without everything being explained at the end.

One of my fave scenes in my fave flick.
I love how the expression on his face slowly changes during the shot as he kind of snaps and realizes how fucked up their situation is.
