10 Black Guys Who Survived Horror Movies

Taye-diggs-adopted
1. . Ken Foree (DAWN OF THE DEAD/LEATHERFACE:TCM 3) --played a bad ass in both films and is DAWN OF THE DEAD is the first person where I actually saw a black guy survive to the end!
2. ALVIN ALEXIS (NIGHT OF THE DEMONS)--Who ever expected Rodger to make it to the end? One of my face slashers of all-time!!!
3. LL Cool J (H20/DEEP BLUE SEA/MINDHUNTERS)--Ladies love Cool James and apparently so do horror fans! The guy is too lovable to kill off!
4. Keith David (THE THING)--Anyone who played the video game knows that he froze to death, but let's just say that doesn't count for the film's sake.
5. Duane Martin (SCREAM 2)--Joel's ad-libbing was one of the best things about the sequel (despite the fact his improvising was probably one of the reasons why he wasn't asked to be in the third film) and he was the most level-headed character in the movie.
6. Taye Diggs (HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL)-A guilty pleasure of mine and his performance is only memorable for two lines of dialogue: "I'm adopted!!!" Genius. :P
7. Ken Sagoes (A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3) -Sure, he gets killed first in the fourth film, but Sagoes was easily the most memorable character in Dream Warriors by far.
8. Mario Van Peebles (JAWS 4: THE REVENGE) -Well….this really depends on what version you watch late at night. One, he lives and the other he dies. The only movie I have ever wished a character to live the second time round watching it and it happened.
9. Ice Cube (ANACONDA)-My theory is if you're a popular rapper, it gives you a "Get Out of slasher movie body count for free" card.
10. Busta Rhymes (HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION) Most likely the only one on this list, you WISHED had perished.

Hahaha. So they don't all die first.

10 Movies Only White People Like

Eat-pray-love-movie
1. Lars Von Trier Movies--the dude said he loves Hitler. Nuff said.
2. TWILIGHT--again...Jacob doesn't count.
3. Pirates of the Carribbean---who keeps asking for these films?
4. THE HELP--Trust me, if you're black, you found this movie extremely offensive.
5. EAT, PRAY, LOVE--only affected older white women love this movie. Yup.
6. Hairspray (The Remake
7. Any Movie Inspired by Nicholas Sparks
8. The Royal Tenebaums--Just because Danny Glover is in the movie, does not make it open to different demographics.
9. Empire Records--love Johnny Whitworth in this movie, but if you wanted to torture me, lock me in a room and make me listen to this soundtrack all day long.
10. Any movies with "The Criterion Collection" Label on it
WalkAway
WalkAway at 02:48 PM Mar 13

White people don't love Hitler. Nazi's love Hitler. This list is beyond offensive.

Derek237
Derek237 at 06:37 PM Mar 13

#1 kind of reminds me of Arrested Development where George Michael is like "she loves Saddam Hussein" and Michael's like "I'm sure you mean that she is interested in Saddam Hussein" and GM's like "yeah whatever."

My Least Favorite Movies of 2011

1861160391_1268684657001_ari-origin05-arc-128-1320951559886
1. JACK AND JILL--what the f*ck was Al Pacino thinking?
2. ABDUCTION--someone has got to tell this Lautner kid that squinting does not equate to good acting.
3. NEW YEAR'S EVE---this over bloated movie is the reason why I'm having a quiet NYE. Most overhyped holiday of the year.
4. THE SMURFS--yes...I had to review this. Although it gave me a smile on my face to see kids laughing...as an adult, it made me want to kill myself.
5. SHARK NIGHT 3D--they literally had a black character chuck a spear. Nuff Said.
6. DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK--huge disappointment!! CGI goblins FAIL! Ghoulies was scarier!
7. THE DILEMMA--who even remembers this movie? It seems like it came out and was forgotten years ago.
8. CRAZY, STUPID LOVE..besides Ryan Gosling, I only had Crazy, stupid hate for this crazy, stupid movie.
9. SUCKER PUNCH--appreciated the ingenuity...but as a woman, this movie infuriated me and made me laugh out loud. It's nice to know that if I was being gang-raped, all I have to do to escape is play a Mortal Kombat game in my head to get through it. F*CK OFF!
10. THE HANGOVER PART 2--it was like the screenwriters played MAD LIB with the original script.

Not even interested in #4 and 10.

My Favorite Movies of 2011

Url
1. MEET MONICA VELOUR---I know this is a weird choice to put as my fave movie of 2011, however it really hit home and the dialogue was raw and real...my favorite.
2. DRIVE--liked the acting, LOVED the soundtrack and adored the fact that I went in not knowing ANYTHING.
3. GAINSBOURG--I've been waiting for this biopic of one of my fave singers for over a decade now...so bizarre yet so true to Gainsbourg's life and personality.
4. SHAME--besides the fact that I love Fassbender, I loved the brutal honesty and ugly yet human themes throughout the film...if you are a person who uses sex to escape (or been with someone who uses sex as an escape) it hits home.
5. SCREAM 4--okay...so this is on the list purely for nostaglic reasons. SCREAM was my favorite horror movie and although this sequel is severely flawed, I still had fun.
6. LAST NIGHT---man, oh man...I had to hold back tears while watching this one. Hit way too close to home.
7. DAYDREAM NATION--love this Canadian Indie...great to watch this after a marathon of TWIN PEAKS.
8. MELANCHOLIA--a beautifully made tragedy made for people who understand the bleakness of the world.
9. GOOD NEIGHBOURS--disturbing, quirky and takes place in Montreal....Scott Speedman is great in this!
10. SOURCE CODE--a mainstream film that kept my attention...amazing ending!
hellocookie
hellocookie at 01:49 PM Dec 30

I still have to see a ton of these, but I also enjoyed Monica Velour and while I didn't LOVE Last Night, I found it so emotionally powerful... The big power of "what if"... :)
