i agree concerning the love for the first movie. I like the adventure/light hearted aspect of it. IMO most of the films in the second half of the series tried too hard to be artificially "dark" (making everything desaturated and green only made it ugly IMO).

"John Carpenter's Vampires" was awesome although it frustrated the hell out of me. Why the hell didn't the hunting group just latch some powerful C4 explosives to the houses' they were trying to clean out instead of risking getting killed by going into the house and clearing them out one by one?
