Review:

After seeing this movie for the second time realized that wow, there really are a lot of product placement ads in this film and they don’t try to be subtle at all. Will Smith even declares the brand and model number of his shoes in case you had any doubt or happen to be blind and can’t clearly see the many close ups of them. Despite the advertising that was thrown in my face, I managed to enjoy the film. The characters are likeable and the action is entertaining. The story, based on a book by Isaac Asimov, is interesting but expected. The whole time, I found myself just waiting for the robots to go haywire. However, in a world where there’s as many robots as humans, the movie didn’t touch upon the millions of people that would be out of work and the skyrocketed obesity rate that would result in having robots to do everything for us. Naturally, the robots malfunction and attack people, but nothing that would result in a more than PG-13 rating. It is a Will Smith movie afterall.
