The Auteur (2008)

Melik Malkasian stars as Arturo Domingo "The Kubrick of porn". Arturo is a filmmaker who has been losing his edge and is trying to get back on top. Arturo is also trying to win back his ex-wife and get some of his inspiration back. He lost his main actor 'his muse' to another porn company because people can't put up with his artistic dominance and they just don't want to be around him.
Melik Malkasian's accent was so funny and brilliant he really did an excellent job bringing this character to life. I loved the fact that this was shot in my home town of Portland Oregon it looked great, especially the hippie commune. Another thing where the hell are all these beautiful women? I need to get out more.
This movie was super funny and very entertaining. This film may be masked as satire but it has a really good and entertaining story. If you like indie comedies you'll love this.
