Movies That Booze Makes So Much Better

Jack-daniels-black-sign
1. The Evil Dead trilogy- These movies are so much fun as is, but when you add liquor to the equation it becomes a fucking party. Even if you're alone.
2. The Big Lebowski- Just thinking about this movie makes me crave a White Russian.
3. The Friday the 13th series- If you can't come up with a drinking game for this series, you need to have more fun in your life.
4. Blazing Saddles- If you can drink like Gene Wilder in this, you are probably already dead.
5. Shaun of the Dead- Leaving out the fact that their ultimate goal is to make it to a pub, try taking a drink every time a zombie movie reference is made. If you are sober by the end of the movie, you need to watch more zombie flicks.
6. Planet Terror- Grindhouse style movies lend themselves to booze. How else can you make sense out of a fucking machine gun leg?
7. Howard the Duck- Do you really want to see an alien duck make it with Lea Thompson sober?
8. King Kong Lives- This movie is crap, pure and simple. But with booze it becomes a symphony of hilarity.
9. My Name is Bruce- Hooch for the pooch!
10. Feast- Seriously, just trust me on this one.

My Favorite Supernatural Characters

Crowley-supernatural-24611739-451-300
1. Dean Winchester- Definitely the character I most identify with. His sense of humor, taste in music and women, and his love for his Impala are all badass.
2. Crowley- I don't think they will ever kill off this evil sonofabitch. He's too awesome.
3. Bobby Singer- If it wasn't for him, the brothers wouldn't of gotten far.
4. Castiel- He called Micheal "Assbutt." What other reason do I need? Well he's also really damn good at smiting fuckers.
5. Sam Winchester- Not someone you want to fuck with, unless your name is Ruby.
6. The Trickster- This guy is responsible for some of the funniest damn moments on the show.
7. Ruby- Sexy, deadly, and manipulative. What's not to like?
8. The Ghostfacers- Fucking hilarious, stupid douchebags. Their episodes are some of the most memorable.
9. Azazel(Yellow-Eyed Demon)- If it wasn't for this fucker, there wouldn't be a show at all. Sets 5 seasons worth of the show into motion in the first scene of the pilot.
10. Lisa- It's not so much about the character but what she represents. The life Dean can never have.
11. Lilith- You come across this bitch, you are going to wish you were already dead.
12. Death- Absolutely love the character in this show. When he shows up, you know some serious shit is about to go down.

Random/Dorky/Embarrassing Facts About Me

1. I am unabashed in my love for all things horror.
2. My pride and joy is my framed poster of Dawn of the Dead signed by Ken Foree(see above).
3. I was a student at Tom Savini's make up school.
4. I am a damn good cook that likes to create his own recipes. My specialty is my "Devil's Chicken."
5. I once stood in line for 5 hours to meet George A. Romero for 5 minutes. It was worth it.
6. I actually moved to Indianapolis because I threw a dart at a map of the USA.
7. I once had a basset hound named Ash. Like the character, he was a bit of an idiot savant. I caught him twice flipping a lightbulb into the air and catching it with his teeth. How he got the bulbs is still a mystery. And to his credit, he never broke one.
8. I have multiple tattoos.
9. I love to go camping and be outdoors.
10. I'm deathly afraid of ticks.
11. I've once come across a great white shark while tuna fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.

Yeah, seeing the shark was amazing. Several buddies from the Army and I rented a boat while on leave. When the shark showed up, it was surreal. It was about 18 feet long by my estimate. He circled our boat for almost an hour. We were thrilled by it, but funnily enough we were pretty irritated. We couldn't fish while it was there!

4. Friday the 13th series- See above but exchange Jason Voorhees with Rambo.
5. Monty Python and The Holy Grail- If you can watch this and not laugh, then you have no soul. :-P
6. Beetlegeuse- Crazy flick, but the right kind of crazy.
7. The Great Outdoors- John Candy at his finest.
8. Big Trouble in Little China- Just pure fun.

MFC Halloween Survey

1. What animals are you afraid of?- Copperheads. Those are the fucking pit bulls of the snake world
2. Are you afraid of clowns?- Nope. My throat punching skills tend to keep them away from me.
3. Are you claustophobic- Until I get buried alive, no.
4. What urban legends scared you as a kid (or now)?- The thought of waking up in a tub of ice and missing a kidney scares the crap out of me.
5. Do you have any phobias?- Tocophobia- Fear of pregnancy or childbirth. If I ever get pregnant or give birth I'd probably almost die from fright. Then I'd air the birthing on PPV.
6. What else are you afraid of- Bees(highly allergic), being eaten alive.
7. Do you believe in any cryptozoologic creatures?- Not really, have no doubts about ghosts though.
8. What movies scared you as a kid?- Pet Sematary, An American Werewolf in London, The Exorcist, The Evil Dead
9. What movies scared you as an adult?- I honestly can't think of any.
10. Favorite Universal Monster- Dracula. Bar none.
11. Favorite fictional horror villain- Besides Dracula, I'd have to go with Micheal Myers.
12. Favorite real life serial killer- I think if you really have a "favorite" real life serial killer, then you have issues. Now as far as most fascinating, Jack the Ripper hands down.
13. Have you ever experienced the paranormal?- Yes. In Gettysburg.
14. What would you do if you thought your house was haunted?- Get Dan Ackroyd, Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, and Ernie Hudson on speed dial
15. Are you superstitious?- A little. I don't go out on Full Moons anymore. Everytime I do I meet the crazies.

My Favorite Horror Characters: Women

05248734_
1. Nancy Thompson(A Nightmare on Elm Street)- Honestly, I don't just see her as a woman. I see her as the penultimate light in the darkness. She is the ultimate nemesis for Freddy. Strong, smart, and capable. She truly is Freddy's equal.
2. Kirsty Cotton(Hellraiser and Hellraiser 2)- I don't give a fuck who you are, if you go through the shit she goes through, you'd of lost your mind. She's stronger than me, I'll gladly admit it.
3. Laurie Strode(Halloween(1978))- Fuck the Laurie in the remake and its sequel, this is the REAL Laurie. Honestly, Curtis set the standard for scream queens here.
4. Mia(Nightmare Man)- How many times do you see the sluttiest character as the most capable in a slasher? You do here! Tiffany Shepis was not only gorgeous, but she had a better head for the situation than everyone combined.
5. Francine(Dawn of the Dead(1978))- The scene that she puts her foot down and demands to learn to shoot and fly the helicopter really showed the strength of her character. Flyboy may have the greatest zombie walk ever, but Francine was my anchor to this film.
6. Michelle Morgan(Subspecies series)- This may be a B series, but I don't give a fuck. Michelle went through a ton of shit in this series, far more than would have killed most people(though technically, it did)
7. Sarah(The Descent)- This character is one of the most realistic I've seen. The loss of her husband and child, coupled with the undertones of betrayal, totally invested me in her plight. I've never felt so sorry for a character before.
8. Angela(Night of the Demons series)- Bottom line, Angela kicks ass. One of my favorite underrated horror villains
9. Jaime Lloyd(Halloween 4 and 5)- Danielle Harris made this character. Honestly, this is the first time that I've seen a child in a horror film and was rooting for her the entire way.
10. Claudia(Interview with the Vampire)- Honestly, I think the conflicts she faces in this film are possibly the most dynamic I've ever seen.

My Favorite Horror Documentaries

13049847330201193774035
1. Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy - This is perhaps the deepest and purest looks at any franchise. The actual doc is about 4 hours long and that's not counting the cubic buttload of special features. Plus, having Heather Langenkamp host the documentary automatically classes it up.
2. His Name Was Jason: 30 years of Friday the 13th - The predecessor to Never Sleep Again. The same filmmaker put this out and hands down is the definitive look at the Friday the 13th franchise. Hosted by Tom Savini and featuring interviews with a plethora of Friday alumni, this is a fascinating watch
3. I Am Nancy - Awesome little indie documentary created by Heather Langenkamp. By the end of it, I couldn't help but really fall in love with Heather all over again. In particular, her interviews with Robert Englund and Wes Craven's daughter really hit home with me.
4. Halloween: 25 Years of Terror - An awesome look at the franchise(pre-remake). Hosted by P.J. Soles, this really makes me smile every time I watch it. And is that The Arrow spitting out his 2 cents every so often that I see? Why yes it is!
5. Beware the Moon - The documentary about An American Werewolf in London. Hosted by Griffin Dunne, I had been heavily awaiting to see this since it was announced. Fucking awesome that they included it in the newest dvd/blu-ray release. Everything you could ever want to know and then some.
6. The Shark is Still Working - Bottom line: if any movie deserves it's own documentary, it's Jaws.
7. Nightmares in Red, White, and Blue - Hosted by Lance Henrickson, this documentary really does take a great look at the history of American horror.
8. Going to Pieces: The Rise and Fall of the Slasher Film - If you have more than a passing interest in the slasher genre, you need to see this.
9. Starz Inside: Fantastic Flesh - A fantastic look at horror makeup effects. If you like KNB, you'll love this little treat.
10. 100 Years of Horror - This is an amazingly in depth look at horror cinema. From the silent era to the 80's/early 90's, this documentary covers a LOT. Plus, it's hosted by Christopher Lee. Now that's classy.

Horror Movie Assholes

Dayofthedead
1. Mr. Warwick- Graveyard Shift(Seriously, who doesn't want to Stone Cold his ass?)
2. Larry Vaughn- Jaws(Seriously, how much do you have to hear before you do something?!?!)
3. J.P. Monroe- Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth(If this was a list of biggest douchebags, he'd be Number 1. But seriously, feeding your one night stand immediately after coitus to Pinhead is pretty fucked up)
4. Dr. Crews- Friday the 13th Part 7: The New Blood(Everyone needs a psychiatrist to feed their mom to the undead killing machine known as Jason)
5. Dr. William Block- Planet Terror(Do I really need to describe this asshole?)
6. Chucky- Child's Play series(most serial killers in flicks kill for a reason. Chucky kills because he's just a fucking asshole)
7. Capt. Ryan- Dog Soldiers( This asshole brought in the main group of the film just as bait. And he killed a dog for no reason at all. Pure Asshole)
8. Capt. Rhodes- Day of the Dead(Why isn't he higher? Because I can sympathize with him. He's been through hell and thrust into a situation he can't control. Plus, Frankenstein deserved to be shot if you ask me)
9. Ray Cameron- Night of the Creeps(sure he was an asshole, but he got the fucking job done!)
10. John Strode- Halloween: The Curse of Micheal Myers(If any woman slapping asshole got what he deserved, it was in this flick!)

Favorite 13 Friday the 13th Kills

1. Honestly, my favorite of the series(at least right now) is Corey Feldman's killing of Jason in Part 4. Fucking BRUTAL! Classic Savini magic.
2. Kevin Bacon's death in the original. At the time, no one saw that shite coming.
3. The wheelchair kill in Part 2. Seriously, this was the kill that taught me ANYONE is fair game.
4. Crispin Glover's death in Part 4. Anyone that dances that hilariously is going to get a cleaver in the face. I think that's a universal truth.
5. The chick(read: the director's wife) that offers Jason her credit card. Bribing Jason is not going to do you any favors.
6. The Sleeping Bag kill in Part 7. This kill just never gets old.
7. Pamela Voorhees' decapitation. Hairy knuckles and all.
8. The speargun in the crotch kill in part 4. That was just fucking evil.
9. Katherine Isabelle's death in Freddy vs Jason. The kill is fast, brutal, and pisses of Freddy Krueger all at the same time. What's not to like? Oh, and it proves Jason can kick a werewolf's ass(she was Ginger in Ginger Snaps).
10. The coroner in part 4. Jason apparently doesn't like the Police Academy films(dude was Fachler).
11. The sheriff's death in Part 6. That's the closest I've ever seen to someone being able to kiss their own ass.
12. The frozen head smash in Jason X. I love the fact that apparently Jason is aware that liquid nitrogen can freeze pretty much anything. Good one Jason.
13. The sleeping bag kill in the remake. Although this movie blows, the same can't be said for Jason. This Jason is a torturous sonofabitch.

My Current Favorite Horror Films

1. The Evil Dead(Sorry, but this one never changes) - Do I really need to explain this?
2. Night of the Demons(remake) - This movie has really blown my mind. It's up there with John Carpenter's The Thing as far as remakes go
3. Friday The 13th Part 6: Jason Lives (This is my favorite "Jason" film
4. Tucker and Dale vs Evil - I will have my review up this weekend I promise
5. Halloween - This movie just hits all the right notes. And NO I am NOT talking about the remake
6. Laid to Rest - Boy does this movie have problems, but it has a hell of a lot to like as well. The next is going to be fucking awesome
7. Day of the Dead - I had to have at least one zombie flick didn't I? In the past few months my love of this classic has grown exponentially
8. The Dead Matter - Yeah, I know most of you haven't seen this film. I'll have a review up shortly, but for now I give you this. It's a fun time to shut your brain off. The director even told me that's whay he was going for. He succeeded.
9. Dog Soldiers - No, this isn't better than A.A.W.I.L. but I never asked it to be. It may not be the greatest werewolf movie, but I'll be damned if it isn't in my top 5.
10. Poltergeist - Seriously, do I have to explain why? If you think so, then just fucking watch the flick. It will save me the time.

The Best Celebrity Encounters I've Ever Had Part 1

1. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin - Austin is the FUCKING MAN!!!! Seriously. I met him in Afghanistan. The platoon I led was chosen to be his guard throughout Iraq. It was awesome until we came under fire. I should mention, JBL, aka John Bradshaw Layfield was along with us as well. Well, we came under fire while moving and all hell broke loose. JBL actually tried digging for China with his bare hands during the firefight. Austin, however, was cheering us on like a fucking cheerleader. We won the fight(obviously, since not only am I alive, so is Stone Cold). He actually told me that he was a pussy compared to me. You know what? That pretty much makes me and my brothers in the Army the baddest mother fucker's alive.
2. Danielle Harris: When I met her last July, She signed an autograph for my niece without charging for it. Fucking awesome.
3. Gary Sinise - This guy cares more for the military than almost anyone. I met him in Iraq and he thanked me, first and foremost. Honestly, there is no one that loves the soldiers/veterens as much as him.
4. (My dad's encounter) David Morrell - He actually followed my father's unit in Vietnam for 3 months. So yes, My dad helped inspire Rambo.
5. We Were Soldiers - Yes, my platoon helped the actors of this movie actually come across as soldiers.

Adaptations I want to see made(well).

Necroscope
1. Brian Lumley's Necroscope series - This could possibly be the most epic espionage/horror/character driven series ever made. With the right scripts and people working on it, this could be amazing.
2. Mass Effect - I'm a huge fan of the games and the story is hands down my favorite in video games. The open ended-ness could make this one of if not the greatest television show ever made. Yes, I would prefer this be made into a show and not into movies.
3. Halo - The studios gave James Cameron a cubic buttload of cash to make Avatar. Why they wouldn't give Petter Jackson a half a cubic buttload to make this?
4. The Darkness - This comic series would be an awesome, and excessively violent, film series. At least I've got the video game.
5. Resident Evil - Yes, I know that there is a film series. When it begins to respect it's source material, it'll count. Until then, it's on this list.
6. Preacher - If they would actually go through with this, I'd watch it until my eyeballs bleed.
7. I Am Ozzy - Fuck the Beatles. I want an Ozzy Osbourne biopic. The man is a living legend and fucking deserves it.
8. Call of Duty - After playing Black Ops, I'm more convinced than ever that Call of Duty could make an awesome movie.
9. Lobo - I know that this is supposedly going to be made, but at PG-13? And with a little kid sidekick? Thus the (well) in the title of this list.
10. Red Dead Redemption - I was blown away by John Marston's tale and the ballsy ending to this game. With True Grit on the horizon, why not this?

I'm with ya besides the "Fuck the Beatles" statement.

I was thinking Andy Serkis NO. You are right though, they broke the mold with him.

@nerd85 Never cared for them personally. And Ozzy's story is fucking amazing.

Love some of these flicks. Just talking today about how I need to watch Spaceball, feels like it's been years. Only one that pops into my head that isn't up there is Harvey...is that considered a screwball comedy? I always thought so but maybe not. Anywho, good list idea.

Rebellion_Reborn

I like Harvey, but some of these were tough picks. Except the Mel Brooks ones. Shit, I could make a list of ONLY his movies.
