Ah, the 80s. When horror movies had so much fun. Anyone that knows me knows I am a HUGE fan of horror flicks from the 80's and this flick is one of the reasons why.
This movie is just so much fun. Insanely campy, this movie is just a fucking blast to sit down with some buddies, drink some beers and have a good time. It's got the gore, the laughs, the insanely bad ass Tom Atkins. What more do you want from a film like this?
Sure, the dialogue can be really fucking cheesy and some of the characters are either stereotypes or just dumb as hell. If you ask me that's part of it's charm. It's not taking itself seriously.
Tom Atkins fucking owns in the film as Det. Cameron. Period. If I need to explain why, then you need to see it for yourself. My words don't do the man justice.
Get some friends together, grab some beer, and watch this flick. Drink every time there's a horror reference. You will be really drunk by the end of this and have a blast while doing it.
