Where I've Been
Hello fellow schmoes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah okay, that felt like a bit much. Hey guys and gals. I wanted to take the time to explain to you all where I've been the past couple of weeks. Because, well, not only has it been awesome but all of my friends deserve to know.
After the most recent JoBlo Sunday Night Movie Chat, I got a call for a job. Now, I don't know what it's like for everybody else but I have never been recruited for a job before. The job was so awesome I couldn't of said no if I wanted to.
I am now the Special Makeup Effects Supervisor for the Indianapolis Zombie Obstacle Course. Yeah, that's right. I make zombies for a fucking obstacle course! While this is in no doubt the minor leagues, I finally have a full time job that uses what I went to school for(I graduated from Tom Savini's school if you didn't know).
This is the kind of job I've been wanting my entire life. I do have a part time job every October for the largest "Haunted House" in Indy, but that's just for one month of the year. To be honest with you, I really was feelings stifled because I couldn't use my creativity all the time. So while this may not be with a major movie company, this is still part of my dream. I've been on cloud 9 ever since.
I've wanted a job like this ever since I was a kid. But to actually have this job in the city I love most, that is a fucking blessing. I honestly could only be happier if I could quit my other job. Unfortunately, that's not going to happen any time soon.
I wish I could be on here more than I have been, because you motherfuckers are fucking awesome! Now that I've gotten things in order though, I should be back on here a lot more than I have the last two weeks.
In case anyone is wondering, The JoBlo Sunday Night Movie Chat will not be interrupted. I have Sunday off from both jobs, so there is no way I will ever miss that. I promise.
That being said, I can't wait for this week's chat about The Matrix. It's going to be fucking awesome!

Welcome back sir! I completely understand as I'm in the same boat as you. I haven't been on MFC as much lately due to my workload at college reaching intense levels right now but I'll still be sure to check in now and then. I'll be around much more by May when my semester ends.
Dude, you're living your dream! Congratulations! Go live your dream, we'll still be here. We love you man. Go fulfill your ambition first and come back when you've had your fill.
Well that explains your absence but it doesn't excuse it. I kid, that's really good that you've got a job that you want and is that cool.
