MHO is that she is not that good actress, OK, personally is a nice gal, with good standards. There are some actors and actresses that are annoying and sometimes is not about their talent or their personal lives, is just everyone's personal approach. Is good you make a list of the qualities you see in Megan, because that is you expressing something positive about an artist you like and also, can help other's to give her a chance. Nice list!

Action movies should include...

1. witty dialogue with a wise ass streak.

2. bloody squibs when gun and knife wounds happen.

3. Dismembermant in explosions, freak accidents, and shotgun blasts

4. Practical stunts when it comes to property destruction, car chases, and falling stunts

5. a color pallete that doesn't use yellow, grey or blue as the primary color.

6. Someone experienced. Not an upcoming kid. Preferably late 20's and up

7. A good score. Atmospheric when needed and let the action do the talking in place of music.

8. No shaky cam or stupid quick cuts

9. Don't pander to the teen audience. Go 18 and up.

10. Likable protagonist(s), hateful villian(s)

11. Bonus: strip club scene with plenty of t+a.

#9 Adult appeal is important. I agree for the most part. Sometimes, a superhero flick can appeal mainly to the younger set successfully. We all got hooked on action at an early age.

However, an action movie needs some amount of bad-assery. And, it needs to appeal to the widest audience. I prefer that action movies have some violence, gore, and nudity to them. Such elements are realistic representations of violence. Such elements are cathartic.

3 - I believe it was warranted. I love Mass Effect, I am a big fan of the series, but I am not a fanboy. I feel fine calling myself a fan and still criticizing the downfalls of the game, and that was a massive one. They reached the conclusion and royally underwhelmed with it. A shame.

^ that would be very cool for sure, but even though I actually prefer Devil May Cry as a series (still love God of War though) I'd rather see Snyder on GoW. A live action DMC movie with a proper budget would be amazing though... personally I think it would be more suited to Guillermo del Toro or something with the creepy demonic gothic creatures and such... Snyder would most definitely be able to rock the shit out of it though. Screw it, get him on both and get GDT to produce Devil May Cry =p

1. The Descent - Claustraphobia, panic, and creatures in a vast cave system.

2. The Sixth Sense - the whole tone of the movie

3. The Strangers - They say you're safe at home. Obviously this was before this movie

4. Poltergeist - Enough said

5. Buried - I'm not claustraphobic but you don't need to tell feel for the main character

6. The Blob (remake) - how characters got violently consumed by said creature

I don't think that Matt Damon should completely stay out of action movies, but the Bourne films didn't use him in the best way. While I enjoyed the Bourne films for what they were, I think Damon showed more emotion in the Contagion trailer than in all three Bourne films combined. I also think that Justin Long worked in Die Hard 4 for that role.

agree with Yoshio on his first comment, and I like the different plot with the TOTAL RECALL remake -- that' how a remake SHOULD BE DONE. I hate when remakes follow the original almost to a tee - fuck that, give me your own vision of the content, your own version and your own take, I don't want to see the same thing I saw already, at least add some things in there at the very least, but the best possible scenario is to create something BASED off that original, which the remake is, and is why I'm interested.

Punisher, Broken Arrow & Judge Dredd all kick ass. Jennifer's Body & Under Seige 2 are mediocre but entertaining movies. And Mallrats, well, if you ever see the extended cut, you can see what Kevin Smith had originally intended the movie to be before a stupid test audience disliked it, hence why a good quarter of the movie was edited out. That's why I only watch the extended cut because the theatrical cut, to me at least, is quite noticeably a badly edited mess of a movie.

Random passings about LOST (Explicit, filled with spoilers, and honest content)

1. I never felt so much joy and rage with a TV show before or after.

2. I still love Kate despite her flaws. (The haters can go fornicate themselves)

3. I still hate Juliet. Try to one up Kate since Season 3?

4. I think Season 2 is the weakest but watchable. The hatch wasn't so exciting.

5. I still think meeting Daniel Roebuck (Artz) is one of the best experiences I ever had.

6. The online experience on the boards was insane but fun.

7. The ending is great. Characters first.

8. Still posting about it but mostly about Evangeline Lilly (Never can say goodbye)

9. Sawyer is still an asshole but he redeemed himself by season 6.

Sawyer redeemed himself way earlier then season 6, dude. He practically keeps them all together in season 5, as well as takes a turn for the best midway through season 3... that Dharma beer run in the van changed him for the rest of the series to a "good guy".

Why I hated 2012 (SPOILERS)

1. Fuck you Roland Emmerich.

2. Uncomfortable scenes (mentioning Princess Diana's death and the Vatican building crushing people that were praying)

3. Likeable characters die (the mistress, surgeon, scientist along with his family) and the unlikeable ones (pudgy twins, Oliver Platt's character) survive.

4. A lot of stupid and unnecessary humor (just like Transformers 2)

Priest kinda makes sense since it took place in 3 different timelines so the future was the next step and they could flashback the HELL out of it (not defending it tho) they basically said they wanted a story that could tap into the long history of their series in just one movie and if you can see in the trailers there's a little bit of the old west in it.

Why I won't see Transformers 3 (the asshole list)

1. It is filmed in 3D. Why does anyone watch 3D anyway? It only worked for me in Drive Angry

2. Ehren Krueger wrote it. This man also is responsible for rewrites of Revenge of The Fallen and he also wrote a bunch of stinkers (Reindeer Games, Ring Two, Scream 3, The Skeleton Key, The Ring)

3. More stereotypes. Just wait for it.

4. No Megan Fox. They replaced her with a fake looking 4th tier Victoria's Secret model. What the Hell?! Bay should have hired Amber Heard, Alice Eve, or Hayden Pantierre if he wanted a blonde.

5. Shia LaBeouf. I liked him in the first movie but since then, he is grating.

6. Still going with the philosophy that is known as bigger is better and more is better.

7. I'm sure it will be a minimal of 2 hours long with tons of filler before the action. Just like the 2nd movie.

8. Going to promote more shit then I need to buy (phones, cars, drinks, Burger King, etc).

9. Linkin Park is back doing the soundtrack. They should have gotten Slayer, Anthrax, Five Finger Death Punch, or Pitchshifter instead.

I'm replaying Dead Space right now...what a great game. Can't wait for the sequel. Mass Effect is amazing...definitely play both of the first ones before the third...the way the story loops through all three games is unprecedented. GTA 4 was so money...as was Red Dead Redemption...

Disappointments (not bad but just disappointing)

1. Live Free or Die Hard (PG-13 + Justin Long + everything else wrong with 21st century action movie making. No, the "unrated" is still a disappointment)

2. Alien vs. Predator 1-2 (Studio made, shit storm, no budget, no craft, etc)

3. Wing Commander (take one of the most beloved space simulator/war series and put Freddie Prinze Jr in the hero role. Also, change everything from the games)

4. The Resident Evil movies (Only made for Milla Jovovich fans and no one else. She looked good)

5. DOOM (they found a way to mess up demons in space by making them mutants)

6. Gone in 60 Seconds (2000) (Add in quick editing and CGI car. Ruins a blah chase scene)

7. Transformers Revenge of The Fallen (Only Megan Fox, good cinematography, and stunts saved it from being a total disaster making it a hot mess)

8. X-Men The Last Stand (a MAJOR step down from X-Men 2)

4 + in addition to that they never seem to flesh out characters much these days-unless it's a Directors Cut DVD. Films try to come off like many t.v. series over last 12 years or so, in sound bites. The sound bite is fine for trailers ,but most films are shot in their entirety in that manner too often now.
