I like these comdeians. I watch almost everything their in except for Schneider and Spade, though I don't mind when on of their shows or movies are on. To be blunt and straight forward, this movie isn't funny. I laughed maybe 4 or 5 times, not enough for a 105 minute movie. I found the jokes weak, way to weak for these comdiens, especially Chris Rock, he had the worst one liners.
I expected much more from this movie, more raunchiness, more laughs, much more entertaining. There was also way too many people in this movie that were all getting equal screen time, and I'm not talking about the main five stars, I mean their wives, kids, even in-laws. Worst of all, this movie tried way to hard to deliver a message about enjoying youth and family, and the time spent with one another, which is all cute and good, but I really don't want to hear it from these guys especially when they are all in a movie together that looked much better in the trailers.
Another bad thing about this movie was Chris Rock's mother-in-law. She was a complete mammy. This is 2010 and Chris Rock is a great comedian with, I'm assumming, some pull and he let this slide, I am white and I was little bothered. She had the most stupid lines, she was farting all the time, and she couldn't wait to hit the porch swing. I really didn't care about the characters, they were boring, the jokes were non existent, the kids were annoying, and the direction was horrendous. There is two people that made this movie somewhat worth my $9.00 and that was Salma Hayek and Maria Bello, they were smokin' hot!
