Do you ever feel bad for not liking a movie? Or not liking it as much as your friends?
Like Ani said, only because I'd like to see what people see in ___.
Yeah the not seeing what they see probably makes the most sense. My recent encounter has been Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. A lot of movie buddies loved it, but I had a really hard time getting into it. I wanted to like it, but I just couldn't do it.
No...its usually the other way around...my friends not liking something I like/love.
And they never feel bad about it whatsoever.
Yeah I'm the opposite too. It kinda hurts me when I really love certain movies, but my friends hate them. It's a mixture of sadness and confusion because I just wanna know what I saw that they didn't.
^^^^ You know what helps random? It may sound dickish, but I always found its easier just to tell myself I have more evolved tastes in films than my friends do. You'd be surprised how much easier it is to accept their criticisms about the stuff you enjoy.
I don't feel bad about having my own opinion but, sometimes it's kinda confusing when you watch something that everyone loves and you don't like it. You just don't see what everyone's raving about. Attack The Block was this years flick. Everyone loves it but, I felt it was mediocre at best. Didn't see what the fuss was about. But, there are also times you love something that most everyone else doesn't. Everybody is unique and so are their tastes. I just can't stand when you are labeled a troll or hater just because you don't agree with everyone on something. People need to accept that not everyone is going to like what they do and vice versa. Doesn't make them a hater or troll because they have a different opinion as long as they present their opposing opinions respectfully. Just makes them an individual.
For the first seconds it's disappointing because I want to bond and geek out over the movie together but after that I'm fine.
I feel bad for hating Drive....I see people all over bubbling with excitement for this movie, but I just can't get into it...

Yes. Sometimes. Only cause I feel like I'm failing to see what makes said film so special. Case in point. The Godfather films. The second one I like. A lot. The other two are pretty boring IMO :/
