Battle LA isn't a terrible movie by any means, the effects are good, the acting is descent, the sets are great, and it does have a few entertaining moments. However, for the most part, I just was bored throughout most of the film. Now I didn't have the highest expectations for this film, for me, the trailers made it look like Skyline meets the Hurt Locker, and I was right, but I dislike both those movies.
The camera-work is awful, it's just as bad as The Hurt Lockers. And the editing is a mess. And not one, NOT ONE, of the characters are memorable. I literally can't remember a single character in this film, I remember a few character traits, but that's it. One was about to become a father, one was getting married, and one led a platoon to death.
For the most part this movie is just no fun, the only time I really felt exited was the bridge scene where there on the bus. Overall, not recommended, if you like it good for you, but for me, I don't see myself watching this ever again.
