NICKULA11'S LATEST ACTIVITY
So what will Smaug the dragon look like? What is Del Toro's great design motif that makes him different from all other screen dragons?
Who did Paul Dano replace in There Will Be Blood????
To be fair, the guy was given that role at the very last minute. Daniel Day-Lewis, who's already one of the greatest actors ever, had a year to prepare for his role. There no friggin way Dano was ever going to look good in this. I give him props for what he did manage to achieve in this role.
I was perfectly pleased with Dano's performance. I really don't know why people think he can't hold his own with Day-Lewis. Does that mean that all the other actors could? Does that imply that he was even worse than all the other actors in the movie? That sermon scene was one of the creepiest scenes ever performed, he must've gotten laryngitis after that sequence. I think Dano is an impressive young talent.
TOTALLY disagree - He's terrible in this film. I know he had no time to prepare, up against Day Lewis blah blah but honestly that scene where he screams and shit is really bad, only blemish on the film for me.
Sam Rockwell was up for the role of Tony Stark apparently... That would have been awesome!
I would've been odd seeing him with a goatee. All I would be able to think about is Guy Fleegman from GALAXY QUEST. But it still would've been equally awesome.
Sam is a way better actor from what I've seen. Downey plays Downey all the time but it works like magic for Iron Man.
Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind blows me out.
NINE sounds pretty good according to the review on AICN.
That's exactly what it is - I'm not a fan or musicals AT ALL but Daniel Day Lewis is in it - the fact that he wanted to do this this soon after working on a previous project tells me a lot about how excited I should be.
Very happy Day-Lewis is getting his love of acting back.
Plus it's got Marion Cottillard, Peneople Cruz and Fergie: A trifecta of deliciousness.
I personally don't care for any of the women, especially Fergie but it looks fun.
fuck this noise, i'm going to bed.
Is everybody REALLY lukewarm on Avatar!?
I'm pretty pumped for it. I'm pretty positive people are going to go batshit for this thing once word of mouth gets going.
The film's marketing campaign is lukewarm. But I'm confident that the movie itself is going to be spectacular. That SOUTH PARK parody certainly didn't help things any.
I'm still firmly in the corner of this kicking ass and changing the game.
What is everyone going to watch tonight/today?

Shit yeah, Dobbs is the man!
