For the most part I liked this movie, clever plot.
I loved the torture setup in the basement and that for the most part she was one step ahead off the "Baddies".
But then towards the end she turned soft a total w/t/f/ moment and not in a good way.
I suppose this complaint is for writers and Hollywood execs.
Can we please have a unapologetic lady killer who isn't a victim, or afraid ? MFC, if I'm unaware of such a film, please let me know

I saw this mostly for Shemar Moore ( He's my movie "HOTTIE !")
At any rate it is a cute charming romantic comedy and enjoyable to watch

Stephen King IT

Stephen King's IT, is a solid flick !
But painfully Loooooooonggggg !
Good performances from the entire cast, but seriously I think they could have trimmed a good hour off this!

Slaughter High

Slaughter High, sadly reminds of all the things I don't like about 80's horror !
Over the top "Bad Acting"
No originality
Ripping off music cue's/ scores/ from Friday the 13th, during the " climatic moments of the film.
The ultimate sin in my book, the whole thing is a fake ass dream and or delusion!
Despite all my gripes, I confess I did enjoy when they were teens in high school and pulling pranks.
I also admit the chase at the end held my attention

Mood: Surprised

Bitto529 at 12:53 PM Jun 23

This one definitely stood out from the endless "Friday the 13th" clones in the '80s. It's weird, creepy, and very mean-spirited. It's kind of like a fever-dream of a movie. I like it!

Glad you liked it Bitto

A Cure For Wellness

Directed by: Gore Verbinski
Written by: Justin Haythe
Cast: Jason Isaacs, Dane DeHaan, Mia Goth
Studio: Fox
Genre: Thriller
Official Site:
Plot: Strange goings on at the wellness center

This a beautiful haunting film.
This has the feel of a late 60's or mid 70's film, it's more suspenseful then scary, but very well written and held my attention for the entire time.
I Also see it as lessons
1. Don't travel to foreign countries
2. Don't sign anything without reading it
3. Don't drink the water

Schmoes are discovering A Cure for Wellness in a major way. I think too that the film's retro aesthetic is one thing appealing to our Schmoeville crowd.

I dug the heck outta this one as well.

everything old really is new again, I had my annual eye exam, had to get new glasses and the frames are almost identical to a pair I wore in high school, same shape, the color is a little lighter but basically the same lol

Fashion is cyclical, and it is weird to see fashion be so.

Elvira Mistress Of The Dark

This is a campy horror comedy!
A lot of one liners and 80's silliness !
It's fun and not to be taken seriously!
Yet somehow in my opinion it manages to age well!
Take this movie for what it is and you'll probably enjoy it like I did.

Wish me luck friends, when I bought Get Out, there was a offer for a free downloadable movie, I've never tried doing this before, so I hope all goes well
moviegirl67 at 11:59 AM Jun 19

Turned out to be a big bust I'd need two movie receipts which it doesn't bother to mention on the insert flyer and it's not compatible with my device what a bunch of B.S.

The Bye Bye Man

Directed by: Stacy Title
Written by: Jonathan Penner
Cast: Doug Jones, Faye Dunaway
Genre: Horror
Official Site:
Plot: Evil spirits

From the opening, I thought this movie has some serious potential, but then it turned into another "teen" flick.
Not that it was horrible or anything, but just not what I was thinking.
I liked how you were never sure if it was real or some sort of mind trick.
Story didn't make a lot of sense and I didn't like the ending, just meh.
