It's from Moonrise Kingdom. I absolutely loved this movie. Definitely up there with some of my all-time favorites. Wes Anderson is a genius!
The trailer does really nothing for me. But then again none of Wes Anderson's previous work has either. I actually fell asleep during "The Royal Tenenbaums". I wanted to love it, because I love that cast, much like Moonrise Kingdom actually.
I have yet to see "The Royal Tenenbaums" so I won't be able to compare the two. However, I think what really worked for this film was the fact that Anderson cast two very strong leads - and they're children! Plus, this is a bit more realistic. And it plays off of the idea of young love which is really cute (I think so at least).
I know you can't (well shouldn't.) judge a film strictly on trailers or posters. But with my opinion towards "The Royal Tenebaums" and "Rushmore" not being that great, I figured I wouldn't like this one. If you say it's aces though, perhaps I should give it a rental, at least.
