Starting tonight I am dedicating the next 6-12 months on living in the world of the Dark Tower series. I thought it might be interesting to live in one world for an extended period of time. Wish me luck.
I am currently about halfway through Book 7. It has been a weird, wild, bloody journey and I'm loving every word of it.
Well years back I got thru the 1st book "The Gunslinger"(2-3 times over) + the prelude story " The Little Sisters Of Eluria" neat stuff-but just didn't turn me on enough to read the additional installments to the series.
It is a book series by Stephen King that he put together over 33 years. It is his fantasy tale. He had always wanted to write a Tolkien type epic story, but wanted to make it his. It is a Western/Magic/Fantasy story.
Nobody popped like the Dark Tower fans when King FINALLY started writing these again. Can you imagine finishing The Wastelands when it came out and then the waiting and waiting and waiting...
IT WAS BRUTAL!
So far no one has told me I'm wasting my time either. completely stoked about this.
The Dark Tower is the finest piece of fiction I've ever experienced. That includes any movies, other books, TV shows. It is simply incredible.
what kind of a series is that? TV? Book?
