I'm 30 years old and still get self conscious when I do stuff and find out I'm not supposed to afterward. No offense meant, I swear. Hopefully I don't get banned.
The first minutes after the status updates started showing up on the main page ticker I made some bonehead joke out of curiosity to see if everything got through. Turns out it did, and I felt like a d-bag, and JoBlo called me on it and I apologized.
What I am getting at is if I can make a joke about masturbating cows and not get banned you won't get banned for one self promotion. Put your mind at ease.
By the way in case you were interested here is the joke, I heard it from one of my most straight-laced cousins which made it extra humorous for me:

yeah man don't sweat it. a lot worse could happen. i joined the forums 9 years ago when i was 13 and around that time all of a sudden there were advertisements all over the site. i was kind of stupid and didn't know a damn thing about the money it took to keep a site like joblo up, so in the site suggestion forum i was all like "man joblo is totally selling out!"
i got schooled by everyone, haha. what the hell did i know?
