Vergil...

in this game or in DMC3? Haha I think he actually looks like a real character in this game, same with Dante. In the previous series, as much as I absolutely love it, the story and the characters were pretty wooden overall. Dante was badass yeah, but he wasn't that interesting, same with Vergil. Here it looks like they've taken the time to tell a story and craft characters. I love how it looks like they're going to make Vergil sort of a fallen angel (Lucifer anyone?) with him wanting to work with Dante, but then going out of control and getting corrupted by his own mission, leading to his destruction and transforming him into a true villain. The creation of a villain really. Obviously I don't know if that's what they're actually gonna do but I would love to see that and that's the vibe I'm getting
In this, I don't even see Vergil in this version, in the original his anger and fact he beat himself up over his mother's death drove him to want power in the end ending up at odds with his brother and alone. This, hi, I'm a resistance fighter and you're brother. That's all I see.
Oh I get the feeling this is just the tip of the iceberg though is what I'm saying.
I love the design though, where as I think Dante's an abomination his design's a cool take on the original Vergil.
I hated Dante's original reboot look, but they've refined it and I like it more now. The only thing I wish was different was his hair. I don't care if he has a different haircut, fine whatever -- but he needs white hair! And the red coat, this one is just red on the inside... haha but all minor complaints, plus they'll probably have alternate costumes when you beat the game
Didn't you see in the trailers, his Devil Trigger is the original design haha
yeah pretty much, I'm hoping this is basically the beginning of his transformation into more of Dante's trademark look, like the more he uses his powers eventually (whether it be at the end of this game or whatever) his hair turns white or something heh, who knows though
I don't, they say it in dozens of interviews though, that this is supposes to become the Dante we know and love.
is it a official prequel or a total reboot? If the later they can do whatever really
I've watched a bunch of interviews and I doubt the team working on it knows.

holy fuck Vergil is back!
Man this game has some of the best marketing I've seen for any video game out there. Fantastic stuff and it looks better everytime I see it (this coming from someone who was initially totally against this new take on the franchise). The story portions looks shockingly good, that never was a strength of the original series so man, I am absolutely stoked for this.
