By far one of the most anticipated indie films I was looking forward to. After I saw all kinds of high praise from review sites on the web, I couldn't wait to get my paws on the blu ray. Definitely my biggest upset of the year of 2009. While it wasn't total crap, it definitely was no gem either. First, I'll begin with the good. For the flick having almost no budget at all, I was extremely happy to say the film locations were beautiful. They are almost worth just the money to see them. The BEST thing in this movie for me no doubt was the score. The director himself also scored the flick, which I am damn impressed with. It just was perfect for the type of movie that it was. Also the movie did have a few unique ideas to go along with the poor budget, which was nice. Now for the ugly. Speaking back on unique ideas, I was thoroughly upset to see that the director re-used almost the exact scene he did in a short film he also did called Spin. The whole series of chain reactions that occur and snow balls into something else he did in this movie as well. Also the acting in this film was painful to watch. The blind man was definitely the worst. I think the lead character did a fine job though (John). The fighting was also poorly done. You never really get to...[more]...












It is available through netflix if you have that or it definitely is worth a purchase elsewhere. Either way check out this very cool flick! Hope you like.
