Movie Number 2 of this evening: Moneyball. Pitt & Hill hooked me in and kept me invested. I'm not a baseball fan but I loved the movie.
50/50. I give it a 4 out of 5. Solid movie that was both funny and touching.
I'm okay with the Penguins losing last night - both teams played a good defensive game. But what the hell was up with the refs last night? There were more than a few missed calls.
I loved seeing my Pens battle back last night!
I finally finished Mockingjay and while I enjoyed it, it was my least favorite of The Hunger Games trilogy. It needed to be longer as it felt rushed towards the end and several characters don't get the wrap up the deserve after 3 books.
Good series overall though eh? I loved the second book the best. All the while I was thinking "What way is this going" and then BAM they spring it! Loved it. Not sold on the film myself. I can't see 'em keeping the violence in tact.
I really enjoyed the series for the most part, but I found that I didn't enjoy the third book as much. I felt like the epilogue tried to wrap things up too neatly and it made me feel kind of meh.
Conisdering what went down in the last book the epilogue was a bit ' ...and that was that. The end.' lol.
I cannot believe I forgot STAKELAND in my Top Ten of 2011. Great fucking movie!
What the fuck is up with How I Met Your Mother this season? It hasn't been on weekly since November. I don't remember this happening last year.
Ides Of March (4/5) A great script with a few nice twist and turns. The acting was amazing. I knew very little about it before hand so I was surprised by some of the events. I didn't always like Clooney's use of music in the film and I wasn't sold on the ending. Other than that, loved it.
I want to see it, but then I don't want to see it. I dunno im still on the fence.
Starting a GEORGE CLOONEY marathon. Ides Of March, Michael Clayton, The American and The Men Who Stare At Goats.
The American is even better when you imagine it as a sequel to Michael Clayton.
Before bed I am going to go on the record and say I am stoked for LORDS OF SALEM. I dig Zombie's style. The dude can disorient you and can create some truly chaotic scenes. While I am not a fan of House Of 1000 Corpses (not a bad film, just not my thing) I've dug everything else. Even a re-watch of Halloween II fared better than my initial viewing.
Censoring/policing the internet is a foul idea that needs to be cut down. While I am a big fan of people scaling back the amount of time they spend at the computer, it's a freedom that if taken away by force will only cause bigger issues in the long run.
Pens game + Justified Season 3 = A damn good night!
I haven't gotten to see a game in awhile. So just being able to watch hockey is a relief!
It is funny how drama amongst friends can bring complete clarity for the one stuck in the middle. In light of this, I am going to spend the day with music and Doctor Who. It's going to be a good day, schmoes!
I have spent the past week trying to decided between two very different women who offer very different positives in my life. My only source of comfort has been Doctor Who. And I am not complaining.

Although Staggy and Errey joking about Letang's hair after he lost his helmet had me in stitches. "It's like 1973 in here." "He should at least get a Head & Shoulders commercial out of this!"
