CHRISTOPHER REEVE is SUPERMAN

To me, the perfect Hollywood casting is Christopher Reeve as Superman. HUGE credit goes to Richard Donner, Lynn Stalmaster and anyone else involved in the gamble of putting in an unknown in those big red boots. Reeve just looked like he came right out of a comic book. I know that other actors came before and after Reeve, but I honestly doubt that screen magic will never come close to being duplicated again. George Reeves was well before my time. In SUPERMAN RETURNS, I thought Brandon Routh did an exceptional job playing Supes and especially Clark Kent. Routh had mannerisms and qualities that, at times, seemed like he was channeling Christopher Reeve. In the end, he still came up short compared to Christopher Reeve. The jury is still out [though not that far off now] on Henry Cavill in this year’s MAN OF STEEL. I’m keeping an open mind, to not do so would be unfair, but Christopher Reeve was not only born to play Kal-El…it’s simply the smartest, riskiest, and absolutely most perfect casting in a movie to date.
Christopher Reeve was, and always shall be Superman. Never forget.
Chillin'Agreed, he embodied and personified a character perfectly more so perhaps than any other actor in movies ever has. Christopher Reeve IS Superman, everyone else only plays him.
I think that's just a smart approach, casting an unknown or similarly unlikely actor for these particularly iconic roles. Whether it's Reeve for Superman, Keaton for Batman or Downey as Iron Man, history has proven that it's just better to go with an atypical choice as opposed to a more obvious, prolific, big-name A-list super star. It would be distracting or you just wouldn't be able to take it as seriously.
It would be great to see the king regain his crown, and it would be epic if the movie impacts us humans more than the average superhero movie, the way Snyder intends. His passion for the project shown on each interview gives me goosebumps.
I'm hoping it delivers the goods. It's encouraging that they're just going for their own thing and giving it a fresh slate instead of trying to replicate/continue the string started with the 1978 film.
I don't expect it to achieve what the original movie did, but.........we'll see what it's got I guess.

Pretty much my order exactly (with slightly lower ratings), except switch the bottom 2.
Nobody can be as shitty as Paul Walker. Probably why Tokyo Drift is the best one in the series.
Have him in, then kill him five minutes later. And do it quickly and painfully

This is why I don't buy a gaming system I'll get fired-
