I saw Maniac yesterday. I've got to say, it was pretty impressive, shocking and disturbing. Great job by Elijah and the score was absolutely terrific! It feels a bit too "artsy" at times, though, and the point of the movie is kind of lost on me. Was it just to evoke these emotions I've mentioned in me?

Everything I hear about the 3D outside of MFC has been positive, and no real complaints about the darkness or anything, yet everything I read on MFC complains about the 3D... hmm...

maybe it's an inside MFC conspiracy or here in Europe we're getting lazy 3D ;) but honestly I haven't seen any other opinions and I can't think why someone would think that the 3D is great in this. It's good in a few scenes but apart from that it's really annoying.

Thor was decent, nothing more. If you've seen the 4 minute clip from comic con you'll be a bit dissapointed since it gave away all of the plot. The movie had some great performances, especially by Hemsworth and Hiddleston, the scenes in Asgard were amazing and the humor was there but that's about it. The plot's pretty weak, so is the climax. I hated the 3D, it was dark as fuck. Sure, some of battle effects looked sweet but still, I'd stay away from the glasses if I could.

All the writeups on the net I'm reading say the 3D is really good, and the 3D trailer I saw of it looked pretty good... but yet you say it's not good? How so? Do you even like 3D movies for starters? :P

^ I don't like 3D and I couldn't even see it in 2D so maybe that's the reason why it bothered me that much, but then again right from the bat it's so dark I had to take the glasses off and after that the scenes on the Ice Giant's planet are also too dark most of the time. Thankfully the fight with the Destroyer is in day time so that looked pretty good for a conversion, yet I still don't think the movie needed 3D. My main point about this is that if I could, I would definitely see it in 2D

Arnold coming back for a T5. I'm on the fence with this one, because I don't want to be one of those guys who says "he's too old, move on" because he was such a huge reason why the first two movies were so great. But then again machines don't get old and Arni sadly is way past his physical prime. I guess they could make him younger using the TRON technology but that still looks fake and they still would need a body double, so why bother? Maybe he's there just to make the voiceover? I don't know, for now I can say I'm on board just because it's Arnold but I would like them to tie it all up nicely with the current path the story is going and fix the problems of T3 and TS, mainly they need to change the writers, but keep Bale, I think he made a really good John Connor with what he had and it would be awesome see those two face off.

I'm on the fence too. Terminator is perhaps my favorite film franchise. I even liked Salvation. I hope that they do get Bale again as well and continue that story to keep the continuity of the story and franchise.

I'm pleasantly surprised at how I liked Scream 4. After rewatching all 3 movies, I realised how much I loved 1 and 2 and how I hate part 3. But Scream 4, although a bit of a letdown in terms of climax, was a blast. The opening was definitely the best of all the sequels and the humor and gore were perfectly balanced, just like in the first two parts.
