The Thin Red Line on Blu-ray? Sweet...crossing my fingers for the six hour long, Adrien Brody-character restored version, but I'm dreaming. A dream year for Malick lovers, with the Criterion treatment AND Tree of Life getting released (and Terry not taking twenty years between films to do so)?? Life is good.

"You can suck my dick!"
Haha, same I thought it was over-the-top at first, especially with that line, but I haven't been under such conditions.
Yeah, pharmacist and nurses can easily be real asses. It's not the kind of job where you should give commentary. Great scene.
Compiling a list of the top ten films of the decade is tough work...not all my yearly/chronological number ones are gonna make it, either...I'm finding some real surprises shooting their way to the top of the list. Soon to come...
You're not kidding...
I haven't even started yet, mostly for three reasons: (1) there's still a handful of 2009 films that I still want to see; (2) it's far too difficult; (3) I'm a lazy bastard, and I simply don't want to do the work.
If I ever start compiling a list, I think it would be impossible for me to limit it to ten films, or twenty, or even thirty. A Top 40 list sounds manageable to me -- besides, such a list is technically a Top 10 list with thirty honorable mentions, right? :D

I couldn't be more excited about this news. THE THIN RED LINE is a terrific film, and I'm a Terrence Malick fan, but I don't own it on DVD. I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for a Criterion or some kind of SE DVD. Finally...my waiting has payed off. So far, this is the Blu-Ray of the year for me. I can't wait to buy it!
Any word on a release date?
