I haven't heard or read anybody on MFC talking, promoting, writing or even making any reference of this music genre: SKA. I was a die hard fan of SKA bands during my teenage years and also during my 20's but then I stopped, not sure why, not apparent reason but while watching "St. Trinians" (thank you for the recommendation Walkaway) I heard this magic music made by genius on the score of this movie, from the very beginning.
I don't know if there is any other fan of SKA around but I would love to find out and I am all ears and will re embrace this awesome genre.
HappyI was a big fan of ska revival (less than jake and reel big fish type stuff). I have yet to really check out some of the classic ska stuff though
I just was reminded how much I love ska, not nostalgic at all, I am all to revive the passion for this music.
Based on a list by horrorfan23
# 6 Hell Yes , and your knowledge about said material , never ceases to impress . Great list .
It as a boring movie, but then again I guess it wasn't intended to be a comedy or something. It was a good way to kill some afternoon time.
@wallcrawler383 that comment made me hungry.

I think so... it should be something super silly, it may work better with the mood. Cohen Brothers you need to be in the mood for Cohen Brothers. Thanks guys!
While organizing some old newspaper I found out a news about Richard Attenborough. The newspaper is from April 2013 and it says that he has been moved to a Home Care place, he has been confined to a wheelchair since he had an stroke back in 2008. Also he had a mansion (I think it was sold) that he shared with his wife Sheila who was diagnosed with senile dementia some years ago.
This Newspaper has some of the folks who worked with him in "Gandhi" commenting about it and one of them said that it was a practical decision and also that he will be attended as his best. Some others have the opinion that his family should take care of him.
We never know in which conditions we will reach our golden years, but I can only pray and hope that Mr. Attenborough and all of ourselves can get pass through them with dignity while walking our final path in this world.
SadDamn no Vicci Martinez!?!? I loved that woman during season one, my sister and I were so pulling for her. So much energy.
No, I didn't like Vicci, she wasn't my kind of performance, but yes she had so much energy and I think Cee-Lo was perfect for her.
Everyone listened to those three at that time. George Michael and Wham never did it for me. But, Rod Stewart and Phil Collins were cool. I would even go around singing Genesis and the solo stuff from Collins ("You have no right to ask me how I feel/You have no right to speak to me so kind" were lyrics appealing to a melodramatic teen boy). Now, Phil is more notably heard in grocery stores and American Psycho.
George Michael was fantastic in his prime. I saw him in concert and he was incredibly entertaining and Older is a fantastic seduction CD...just sayin' :-)
I don't know 'too' much about SKA, but I found this video very informative.
Great post.
