Super Bowl parties are the shit... so much food and alcohol.. the most important thing about the game is the commercials and the new trailers though!
I'd actually care about the super bowl too if there giant cupcakes involved.
Darn, I forgot to follow through on my cheesy tradition of watching Groundhog's Day on, uh, Groundhog's Day. ;-p

It had some good moments, like the cast of bridesmaids making up a drinking game- having to take a drink every time someone says 'scorsese' and then steve buscemi running with the joke later on in two different acceptance speeches.
I haven't been on the computer all day, so I haven't checked out the Oscar nominations. I have heard there was a lot of snubbing, but I'm really not surprised, though. If it's any consolation to you all, we at least have the prospect of The Golden Schmoe awards! Aren't they better anyway? They're the only movie awards I care about these days.
I'm with you on that. The only "awards" that I care about are what our fellow schmoes dish out.
I'm personally sick of the overhype the Oscars get; every year we hear about how great people like Steep and Clooney and the like are but they never take a risk. Andit's not like their nominees are THE best they're just who the academy thinks are the best. This is why I prefer the Gloden Schmnoes, movie awards chosen by true movie fans.

@CriticalAcclaim - Please don't get me wrong. I don't HATE Sam, I really don't. I suppose I could have included him in this list, but he would've been #11 (or #12 after The Trickster haha) when I went with the standard 10. I like his character, sometimes, but just not nearly enough as the others. Plus, he gets on my nerves when he gets into his super emo moods! He's a tad too whiny for my taste. Sorry, but Dean is the superior Winchester! I guess I should have placed a disclaimer on this list. haha
I'm finally submitting my nominees for the Golden Schmoes, and ugh, this is sooooo hard!!! Decisions, decisions... Blargh!

@darknite125 - The worst movies were easier to pick than my favorites. I could easily say what the crappy ones were, and I know we get to choose up to 5, but there were still a couple that I felt bad about eliminating. There were a few that blew me away, but not nearly as many as the previous year.
@tbondrage99 - You lucky duck!! How did you fare through all this? I'm horrible when it comes to making decisions! haha
