Chucky's son/daughter is a perfect metaphor of what this franchise has become. An annoyingly unfunny and unthreatening continuation thats endlessly disappointing compared to its predecessor.
I was foolish to once again get excited about the prospect of a new Chucky film. But I figured with Don Mancini, the only person besides Brad Dourif to stay with the series through its entirety, in the director's chair this time around that maybe he could get the series back on track. But like last time, any dignity the series has left washes away like piss down the leg of a hideous, gender confused doll.
The only redeeming qualities of this film are Jennifer Tilly playing herself as a slutty desperate actress and an opening death scene featuring Old Saint Nick, which turns out to be a film within the film about Chucky. Sadly it has more going for it than the actual film at hand. The Seed of Chucky was a mistake and should have been aborted.
