I did not get an oppurtunity to see this film in theaters, but bought the blu ray when it came out a few weeks ago. Going in, i had very low expectations from what critics, and my friends were saying about it. This film was not as bad as they made it seem, there was plenty of cool scenes, and a neat little "story" if thats what you want to call it. It starred Christian Bale as John Conner, and it starred Christian Bale's batman voice, as John Conner's voice, which i thought was neat little cameo. what made the movie cool to me was that john conner was not the main charachter in this film, instead it was focused on Marcus who was a specially designed "Terminator" whose main goal was to infiltrate the resistance, and gain access to John Conner, all the while Marcus had no idea he was this "infiltrator" and that he was a human. Overall its not as bad as Terminator 3 (which wasnt terrbile people!!!!!!!) so if you like Terminator just go fuckin see it

Going in i kind knew what to expect being written by Noah Baumbach. it was very dry but in a good way, and had a very intriguing, funny, depressing story. the film focuses on a group of guys and gals who had just graduated form college, but cant seem to leave college. wether it be them going to college parties still, or hanging around the college bars, hell one of them eats their lunch at the college. the dialog was amazing, every actor and actress had almost an equal amount of screen time, and it flowed wonderfully. whats interesting about this film is that noah went directing this movie without knowing how to direct, he just took the knowledge he gained from watching movies and applied it to Kicking and Screaming. Hellraiser review

This was my first time watching this movie. i was lucky enough to find the 20th anniversary edition at walmart for a whopping 5 bucks. The film at the very beginning feels a bit slow, but the aura of creepiness, and mystery keep your eyes locked on the screen the entire time. for a film of its time, the acting was not horrible, and dialog was all there, and delivery was good. The visuals were awesome, i was very creeped out at Frank's gross, wet, flesh and muscle lacking body in the attic. all of the scenes were interesting, i was nervous the whole time for unsuspecting victims being lured into this house by the wife to give "food" for the living corpse of her adulterous lover Frank.

Now, the greatest scenes for me were any scene involving the centibites one including the infamous "Pin Head". In the credits Doug Bradley was listed as main centibite which was cool because it shows that they had no idea that this film was going to take off the way it did and have numerous sequals. the "chatterbox" centibit was very awesome looking and the more i think about it, annoying.

all in all this was a great horror movie, and i cant wait to see some of the sequels to it even though as most sequels do probabaly wont live up to the hype of the orignal.

coffy review

This movie is a great blackxpoitation film. it stars the lovely Pam Grier, and a slew of other familiar faces from previous pam girer exploitation films. in this film, coffy (grier) is out on the hunt for drug pins in her city who have had a hand in her sister's and good cop friend's addiction and injuries. theres alot of cool gritty scenes, one featuring a repeated stabbing in the neck via an unfolded paper clip, some cheesy 50's and 60's music in the background, and neat car chases are all apart of this film as well. all in all, if youve ever seen pam grier in any black exploitation films, you will know what to expect when you watch this movie.
