aw I liked Nemesis. I haven't seen... well 2-10 so maybe I would like those more too haha but I remember my uncle took me to Nemesis in the theatre back in the day and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
Great List Locke, but you know people are sharpening their pitch-forks for you putting JJ's film over Wrath of Khan. I mean, I personally agree it is better but you know how it is. You are brave my friend! ;)
^ Haha thanks man.. I know I'm in the minority about it and Wrath of Khan might be the more influential, stronger picture but I just can't hold it above Star Trek 2009, personally.

as a huge Cronenberg fan man I really gotta catch A History of Violence again. Only seen it once and I dug it, but was expecting it to be more Cronenberg-y so was a little let down. Now that I know what to expect I really want to see it again, I have a feeling I'll enjoy it a lot more! AWESOME to see V For Vendetta on there, and MIB baby!

Indiana Jones had to take the top spot. Who else is there? Most Schmoes would put Indy at #1 with a bullet ('cause he just shoots the guy and gets the cast out of Tunisia more quickly).

Obviously Thorin is the top choice but a lot of great picks, good to see Jeff up there
King Schultz, Hans, Bilbo, Ottway (just watched that again and man Neeson absolutely owns that role, an underrated performance), Thorin, Shaw and fricken Lancaster Dodd! Awesome shout outs man!
...oh, and Jeff! Haha Jeff was awesome

Nice man, some solid choices. I'm nearly finished season 2 so I got a couple to go before I can make my own one of these but right now I share Doctore as my top character
There's no point in me making a list because it would be very similar to this one. Fab gifs!
Seems like as good a time as any to watch this show, now. Downloading season 1!

Your 3, 4 and 5 are probably my top 3 rearranged but still a awesome list, yo

How can you really set out to top what Javier Bardem did in Skyfall you ask? Well, you go out and grab quite possibly the most eccentric actor in the business right now who would relish in the opportunity to create a villain of his own. Two of the most iconic villains in the past 10 years have been Bardem’s Anton Chirgurh in No Country for Old Men and Waltz’s Landa in Inglourious Basterds, so I think the most logical step here would be to grab the other one for a showdown with Bond. Just thinking of the way Waltz could chew up scenery opposite of Daniel Craig is making my mind explode with the possibilities.
This has been a longtime rumor for the past 4 or 5 years and it’s only been fueled after this goddess married James Bond himself, Daniel Craig. There’s been a dry spell of captivating female villains lately, especially in the genre of Bond movies and I think that Weisz would wrestle that opportunity to the ground and create a balanced, villainous counterpart to the franchise. Her chemistry with Daniel Craig would be electric on screen, she’s one of the most talented performers in the business and fans would absolutely love it. I see no qualms with this.
He’s sort of the “it” man right now with 3 villainous roles in 2013 and a slew of new movies coming out after he gets more exposure but the Sherlock star would make a brilliantly menacing Bond baddie in my opinion. Fans of the UK would go nuts at the idea of Sherlock facing off against James Bond and with the demonic range we saw in the last few Star Trek teasers I think it’s safe to say that he could really pull this off.
The breakout actor of 2011 who won the Oscar for his performance in The Artist took a bit of a backseat in 2012 but his slew of films in production this year will put him right back into the spotlight. Jean is a gifted actor with amazing range and an energy that flies right out of the screen which would make him perfect for a classic Bond villain… and we could possibly get some sexy French dialogue going which would be an added bonus.
I was reluctant to put him on this list because he’s my first choice for a new James Bond after Daniel Craig retires and we saw what happened with Sean Bean’s chances once he tackled 006 but I just couldn’t hold back. A ridiculously talented actor with the brains to match his brawn, Elba would bring a classy, elegant bad-assery to the franchise and make for some really brutal action scenes.
With one icy look you know Tilda Swinton means business and will stop at nothing to devour your soul. OK maybe that’s a bit extreme but Tilda’s range and natural qualities would make for a solid entry to the franchise and give her the opportunity to do anything with the role. She brought a menacing presence to the kid-friendly Narnia films but it was her creepy turn in Constantine that opened up the floodgates for a character like that.
One of the more accomplished actors working today, Firth probably wouldn’t be the first choice to come to mind when thinking up Bond baddies but I think that’s why he’d be so great. He has enormous screen presence, a ton of talent and the ability to command your attention whenever he steps into the frame which is a perfect recipe for a new James Bond villain.
Sexy, seductive, talented, delightfully perfect and with that calming edge that never quite lets you know what she’s about to do, Braga would be a deadly addition to the arsenal of Bond villains. The potential for her could be anything from a double crossing agent to the leader of a terrorist organization but the outcome would be the same mix of perfectly balanced Bond Baddie to me. She even has the edge and skills to go hand to hand with Bond if the script calls for it which would really put her up there as an all around threat.
Another actor who could showcase the brains to go along with his brawn and verbally crush his opponents with an eloquent shine to him, Ejiofor is one of the more under the radar screen actors. He’s taken on a bounty of roles over the years but his villainous turn in Serenity was what really made me want to see what he could do opposite of James Bond. To me he’s the type of guy that could be sitting at a dinner table swirling a glass of wine and still terrify you with his words and stare, which is what I want from a new Bond baddie.
Hawkes has been ripping off great performances for decades now but he’s a “late bloomer” in the sense that he started gaining a lot of recognition after his turn in 2011′s Winter’s Bone, which earned him his first Oscar nomination. A lot of people think he was robbed this past year of a second nomination for The Sessions and I really can’t argue with that statement either. He’s a bold actor with the intimidation factor that could make your nerves palpitate with nothing more than a brief moment of silence, and I think he’d be an excellent Bond villain. Thanks a lot guys for the kind words, I appreciate it and thanks for reading the list.

Often overlooked by Michael Shannon's titanic performance I think this is Chastain's best work in her career. It was like watching two titans of the art on screen and she easily goes toe to toe with him through whatever layer of conflict the scene asks for. Everything she wanted to say was expressed in her facial movements and she had the look of a woman being pushed to her limits.. Subtle, beautiful and inspiring, she was a powerhouse here.
Rock fucking solid. For a movie that needed an emotional attachment and driving force for the audience to rally behind we needed the character of Maya that Chastain carved out on screen. Driven by her work to an emtional breaking point where she's obsessively striving for her end game without any hesitation is a treat to watch. It's a conflicted, layered role with a closing scene that sums up her entire character's mindset without having to utter a single word... powerful.
For a movie built on images, sounds and emotions without a clear flowing narrative structure you absolutely had to gave rock solid performances, and Chastain's was mesmerizing. I couldn't help falling in love with her calming effect as a mother and the way she embraced life around her. She gracefully floated from scene to scene with elogance that painted a picture of her as an angel and for fuck's sake, it suited her.
The one that landed her the Oscar recognition is probably her most unrecognizable performance in how she completely slips into another character. It's the polar opposite of what you've usually seen her in and it's a testament to her skill as an actress.
There's not much more I can say about this other then the fact that it's a ridiculously brave and bold performance choice that really launched her film career. She goes to a lot of different places that you wouldn't expect from the bubbly, ambitious personality you see through interviews but it paid off greatly and she carries a movie that would be nothing without her. I really thought she was gonna win the oscar for ZDT. Amazing performances in all of these, but I still need to see Jolene.

Every single person is perfect, and I especially love Damian Lewis as Dr. Grant and Michael Caine as John Hammond.
Good cast, Lewis, Blunt and Caine would all be perfect in the roles.

Don't know if it was Connery or Brosnan, but whoever it was, I was hoping they would have a last minute change of heart. It would be such an awesome surprise.
^ it'd be amazing if Connery kicked out Seth MacFarlane and hosted himself instead... that would be the besssst lol, even if he didn't have material Connery for 2 or 3 hours or whatever it is would be great

He'll always have cred for The Rock in my book. Unfortunately watching Armageddon makes me physically ill, like seriously I think there's some kind of study that found a certain percentage of people just can't handle the editing of that movie. Anyway. Pain and Gain looks pretty decent I gotta admit.
So accurate.
Except the Transformers sequels don't deserve anything higher then a 4.

George Lucas' little mistakes that became big mistakes.
Though Uncle Owen was at least essential but he was a dick
Mace Windu fucking suckssssssssssssss and his death scene is so poorly acted that it is easily the worst scene of the entire series, just ugh

Those are some lofty goals you've set for yourself today, and your success or failure is all going to come down to how well you balance #s 1 and 2.
That feast is gorgeous! Everything looks delicious.

Great list. I recently saw The Joneses for the first time as well. I'd give it the same rating or maybe a 5.5.
Thanks for showing love to 2011 movies, it was also a great year of movies, although 2012 has been awesome.

Great list. So many goodies. I so loved The Fighter and The Machinist.
I agree WalkAway!

@JL - wow yeah, Tom Jane could be an awesome Raiden now that I think about it... and you know he'd dedicate himself 300% to the role too, that would rock! And now that I understand what you were saying with the score I would totally agree, that sounds great! A remix/throwback to the classic song would be amazing, even if it were only a bonus in the end credits or something
i like the idea of daft punk doing the score..and elba and edgerton are perfect

My exact choices for eyes and lips, and I applaud the selection of voice. Monsieur has excellent taste.

Thor 2 is one of my most anticipated too. I can't wait to see more Asgard on screen.
Yeah, I'm that one guy who'd put Guardians of the Galaxy on the top of the list. It's one of my favorite comics of the last 10 years.
I just need to pray every night that they don't fuck it up.

Did a blind buy of Treasure Planet the other day and can't wait to check it out.

I think Avengers should be higher and was a pretty good film and deserved its top Spot.
I really appreciate your comment on Hobbit "Did I think this was the best film of the year? No" as many people on here say something is 'the best' rather than 'the film I like the most'. Personally my favorite is The Avengers and my least favorite movie of the year is Dark Knight Rises but I know they aren't the best nor the respective worst. Well stated!

Thanks a lot guys.
@ Zo! - Holy shit, I thought I was the only person on the planet who knew that existed.. that's where I found out about Armitage as well.
Do they actually award LVPs in sports?
If not, they should start. DeMarcus Cousins is running away with it...

Yeah seeing the Indy trilogy on the big screen was just so amazing. And damn I wish I could have gone to the LOTR marathon! That would be great if they did it once again for the 3rd Hobbit movie.

^ LOL hey I love sharks and aliens! Alien abduction movies scare the shit out of me though, and I think it's ironic that the aliens who want to eat your flesh aren't as scary to me as the ones that want to abduct you and run tests on your body. FUCK THAT.. I also know where it all stems from too: This book called UFO Kids that I read when I was in elementary school.
Yes fear and love them. Something being dangerous makes it much more interesting (oh hey there my master's thesis....)
BTW the scariest thing about that book now? The short shorts that kid is wearing on the cover.

What you think he's got in that pipe? My guess would be headband kush.
I agree with your list...well all but Django and Zero Dark.
But the others...I'm there.

^ It's definitely worth a watch and wasn't a horrible movie... just a pretty bland and forgettable one (for me anyway).
Wicked August list dude. Nicely done seeing Rounders and Cop Land for the first time. Very enjoyable flicks with a great collection of performances. I own both on blu-ray and enjoy them very much, totally agree with these scores btw. Except for maybe Conan the Barbarian of which I'd give an 11/10 (1 representing pure excellence on that scale). Honestly, it was a disposable fun kind of 5/10 for me.

I've been watching 4 and 5 regularly this summer and it's definitely worth your time. Parks and Recreation starts out okay but it gets even better in the later seasons.
#2-5-7-9 are just absolute musts.
and i need to start battlestar as well

Ah shit, Borderlands 2 comes out next month, too. There goes the rest of my free time.

The Avengers - 10/10 - The biggest movie of the summer delivered in the biggest way possible for movie and comic-book fans across the globe. I can't remember the last time I had this much fun at a movie theater and Whedon exceeded all of my expectations and then some. This thrill ride had it all, hilarious one-liners, emotional moments that felt genuine and countless scenes that made you stand up and shout “FUCK YES”. Of course it has it's flaws and share of plotholes but it gets a perfect 10 for not only delivering in every aspect I wanted but for making a childhood pipe dream a reality.
The Dark Knight Rises - 9/10 - One of the most anticipated movies in recent memory was a fitting ending to the best superhero trilogy ever made. In my eyes this is the weakest and most problematic of the three but it hits on the most important aspect of the story and is carried by Bale's performance as Bruce Wayne. The bar has been raised pretty damn high for all Batman movies that take the reigns after Nolan since he crafted a trilogy worthy of a spot next to the all-time greats.
Prometheus - 8/10 - Billed as more of a frightening take on an Alien prequel this movie was daring, engaging, thought provoking and completely different than anything I was expecting. Ridley Scott flooded our minds with heavy themes of our own creation and existence but still managed to make a damn entertaining thriller. This was probably the largest movie in terms of its scale this summer and the set designs were breathtaking. All of this made Prometheus a worthy addition to the genre and the return of Science Fiction in its finest form.
Brave - 8/10 - Coming off of two sequels in Cars 2 and Toy Story 3 many of us wondered if Pixar's days of originality and fresh ideas were all but over. Toy Story 3 was a magnificent addition to their lineup but Cars 2 disappointed across the board and was the first of the studio's movies to be met with horrible reviews. However Brave was a reminder that the studio still packs a punch and can lift our spirits and imagination. It was a sweeping tale of adventure and self-discovery that led to more than a handful of emotional revelations along the way. Bolstering some of the finest animation the studio has ever put out and coupling that with a touching story at its core was what brought Pixar back to form.
The Amazing Spider-Man - 7/10 - I admittedly wasn't a very big fan of the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies, and while generally liked by the public the taste left in their mouths by the third entry needed to be washed out. Enter a remake with two of the brightest young actors in Hollywood and a different thematic approach and what you got was a solid entry that pointed the franchise back in the right direction. Garfield gave us a Spider-Man that felt more relatable to the audience and Stone gave us a love-interest that went above and beyond "stand here and scream while being rescued". This was one that I honestly had no interest in seeing and instead it got me looking forward to the series' next entry.
The Bourne Legacy - 6/10 - Matt Damon's Bourne franchise is the quintessential action trilogy of the modern era. It's realistic and gritty enough to be plausible but satisfying enough in its set-pieces to please fans of the action genre. Smarter, sophisticated and balanced, the Bourne franchise was an inspirational stepping stone for the modern action movie. When Damon turned down a 4th entry Universal looked to Jeremy Renner to continue the franchise and reinvent it for a fresh opportunity. While Renner did his part in delivering us a worthy action hero it's the script and hollow characters that ultimately failed to get me involved. All of it felt done before and done better at that. While Renner brought a different angle of charm and "the everyday man" to the lead role his character was much less interesting than Jason Bourne, and in turn the movie suffered greatly. While still delivering some solid action set-pieces and the occasional thrill this was one that fell short of the mark for me this summer.Based on a list by wallcrawler383
I didn't see Brave or The Bourne legacy but I think I agree with everything else.

Damn I forgot Drogo, I put Arya before the Great Khal, damn. Good list, some really great choices.
I thought of Buffy's vamps but they can come out at night. Yay on MacGyver!

A great list! If film manifested itself into human form, it's Hitchcock.
great stuff man, and hell yes this is one hard top 10 to nail down! haha 1 and 5 are some of the coolest endings out there

I didn't realise you put them in score order, I was surprised a little when the top of your list just went 10, 10, 10, 10.
^ haha yes, they usually go in score order when I make these lists. Shaun and Begins could border on a 9 but at the end of the day I view them as "growing classics" of the genre so a 10 is acceptable for me.

It's hard to think of another director with such consistency although to be fair compared to some of the heavy hitters the sample set is still small.
@jimmydevito/VitaminMan8 - I know, I know haha.. I've been meaning to get my hands on it and feel a disservice to my cinema love for not seeing it yet.
@Fabster - right on man.. it's a very small sample size but he puts out some quality products for almost every demographic.
^ seriously, Denethor the messy eater. I mean who bites into a cherry tomato. You know it's going to squirt everywhere. What a slob :-)
A perfect list, and I definitely can't argue with that top 4 order haha. I have the exact same feelings towards Indy as well.
I'll be watching these trilogies soon...Indy (for the blu-ray release), LOTR (before The Hobbit), Batman (for the blu-ray trilogy set), and as for SW and BTTF...I think I'll watch 'em next month.

I used to have a poster of that picture you used. Damn...4 years just flew by.
Those Joker vids are fuckin' phenomenal. Also I bet Katie Holmes really regrets her decision now, actually I think she probably regrets a lot of the decisions she's made since 2005.

As much as I love Oldman in the role, part of me kinda wishes Kurt Russell got the gig. Especially now since TDKR seems to be drawing inspiration from Escape From New York. Also YEAR ONE was a HUGE influence on Begins as well. Detective Flass, Commissioner Loeb, using bats to escape the cops all came directly out of YEAR ONE.
^ totally agree. I really like Oldman but Russell... man that would've been fantastic

While I feel bad for you , I appreciate your sacrifice , and your sparing of hours of my life I would never get back . You're a fine Man , Mr. Locke !!
Probably one of the most unintentionally racist movie I have seen out of Hollywood.
Notice no racial minority survived. Just saying.
#22 is my favorite comment on this list! HA!
But seriously, this movie could have been so good and it was just crap. I saw it on HBO or Showtime and later got the DVD for free and haven't felt the need to watch it.

I love this except for the low but understandable score you gave Batman and Robin lmao

@ WA - thanks chica
@ Desh - Absolutely, I loved it as well dude... it was hard to rank it next to so many classics I've seen a dozen times but it stands admirably with that lineup.
An 8/10 is what I gave Brave too. Could've done without the Taylor Swift-like pop songs and all that but otherwise it was great.
That is quite close to my list, except that I didn't like UP as much as you, so Brave is in my number 5 spot. In fact, here:
1. Wall-E - 10/10
2.Toy Story 3 - 10/10
3.Toy Story - 10/10
4.The Incredibles -9/10
5.Brave - 8/10
6.Ratatouille - 8/10
7.Up - 8/10
8.Finding Nemo - 7/10
9.Monster's Inc. - 7/10
10.A Bug's Life - 7/10
11.Toy Story 2 - 5/10
12.Cars - 4/10
13.Cars 2 - 4/10

4 and 5 for me!
Titanic is one of the few movies that makes me tear up (or sometimes sob even...don't judge me) EVERY single time! :)
and Frenzy, what does that mean? lol It's a great movie. It's one of my top ten movies. I don't think it's a "woman's movie." I think anyone should like whatever kind of movie they want to without there being some kind of gender connotation to the film.

@JL and LS that batman annual issue is so freakin excellent. It was released after #9 but It is 95% a stand alone story about Mr. Freeze.
Enjoy, boys

i for one go there to reconnect with my inner-self, why isn't that on your list?

Can Lucas not see the movie until it gets to him in the editing room? (And yes, I still want him to edit it)
I was hoping that the uppercut would pull a "Hawkeye/Avengers" affect on Lucas in a sense that he'd snap out of his funk and yes, he can still edit the movie.. he's as much a part of Indy as Spielberg is.

ahh and this changed today didn't it? wasn't Up your number 2 earlier today?
^ Yes, Up was my number two.. but the more I thought about it the more I had to put The Incredibles above it for really setting a standard for superhero movies at the time. I find myself constantly rearranging their order on my list.
Quite similar to mine!
1. Wall-E
2. Toy Story 3
3. Toy Story
4. The Incredibles
5. Up
6. A Bug's Life
7. Monsters Inc.
8. Ratatouille

11. Cars
12. Cars 2

Daenerys's story in the second book was pretty uneventful, so I can see why it was hard to adapt to television. They really just should have kept her out of most of the episodes so it seemed like more stuff was happening whenever she did show up...
I can say that her story line in Storm of Swords aka seasons 3 and 4 of the show... is FANTASTIC. And we're going to see some amazing Daenerys action. Then, season 5... it's gonna get shitty again.

Pretty impressive list, but they all should be listing JohnLocke on the top of theirs.

Loki was so well-written, just the first villain in the Marvel movie universe that felt like more than just the "token" bad-guy. Awesome list, its cool to see some of the "lesser" side-villains included as well.

All 3 character lists were ranking by a combo of how much I liked them, how interesting their character arcs were and what kind of stamp they left on their movies.
Thank you :)

the only thing different in my list would be that Capt. America would have 1 more point I really dug it other than that yep!

@klint- Oh shit, I'm intrigued as hell for his character now.. I haven't gotten to him yet!
@WA- Yes.. if they keep her the same from the comics (some characters were pretty different) then she'll easily be my favorite on the show as well... eh, Daryl will probably hold that spot.. but it depends.

@Cochise- don't get me wrong, Frodo's selfless determination is an integral part of the trilogy but there are way more interesting characters in my opinion.

It's amazing how the characters (except Lori) evolved over just the span of 13 episodes

American Psycho and Equilibrium are still two of my favorites. Haven't upgraded them to blu yet (Psycho DVD has more featuers) but I've been planning to order the Equilibrium blu steelbook next paycheck. American Psycho is hilarious satire, the book is much more twisted with a disjointed narrative. Kurt Wimmer's sci-fi vision was one of the most memorable surprises in theater when I wasn't expecting shit. As for number 14...BOOOOOO!! Haha, jk man.

Are you in my damn head man! I honestly wrote the same list on my iPhone while at work today!!! Great call.

When I was in China on the All-American Ping Pong team, I just loved playing ping-pong with my Flexolite ping pong paddle

^ lol yes.. I love them all equally and wouldn't really have the heart to rank someone below someone else, etc. imahugedork

@ horrorfan23 - completely agree, I forgot to put it up there but I meant the character of Ace Ventura in both movies.
Happy Birthday Mr.Carrey! I always think of his roles on "In Living Colour" and one of his first movies, "Once Bitten"!

^ I usually never include Indy IV (it's a trilogy to me) but he was one of the few things I liked about it.
@ Jamie- yes, yes.. I very much like her and love to watch her act.. she was very impressive in Solitary Man and Jane Eyre.
^ thank you. I know that The Dark Knight is a better movie but Begins is my favorite because it focuses solely on Bruce becoming Batman.. I love those training scenes in the beginning.
Love the list, but I can't help but wonder why you included The Losers.

As usual an amazing list. Thomas Jane never fails to blow my mind. And MAJOR points for a Bruce Willis Fifth Element gif! I've been shopping for some quality gifs for that movie to go on my "Favorite Movies vol2" list.

Cillian Murphy is a brilliant actor.
And that Simon Pegg gif is genius.

The knife scene between Hudson and Bishop was hilarious. "BISHOOOP, hey man..." "Don't move."
"Punch it Bishop!"
No you're not TZ, frankly I don't think ALIENS gets enough credit for the depth of its characters. Some would go so far as to say they're dumbed down and disposable.....well, most of the marines who get offed in the first attack sorta are I guess. With the exception of Drake, JL's right amazing how much impact he had in so little screen time.
Bishop definitely had kind of a Data complex goin' on there. Probably the most interesting character of the bunch, given the dubious history of androids from the 1st movie, he's always suspect. Towards the end you think he's just another Company asshole who left them in the dust to save his own ass, but then when he shows up to save Ripley and Newt(at the last possible moment), really he's the fuckin' HERO of the movie!
Hudson comes off as kind of a pussy in light of the extra scene they added, which is why Cameron got rid of it originally. Perhaps most of the marines that get offed are disposable, but even they're affable and have each got their own distinct personality traits. But that core of Hudson, Hicks and Vasquez are strongly written, beyond just being likable characters.
Hicks is Hicks, like you said JL. And he was motherfuckin' Kyle Reese, so he's got that under him as well. But, just how awful would it have been if James Remar stayed on to play him?

DUDE!!! You are the man, you have no idea how much I appreciate this! I'm so glad you enjoy my lists, thank you so much!
I love that picture haha. Pirate knows no bounds either, case and point my personal fav is the Disney porn titles. LOVE 'em!

For most of Fellowship of the Ring I was basically calling Samwise "Rudy"

I love you JL but i'm not sold on some of these. However 10 and 5 are perfect!
Thanks for the feedback all- I would say that the Arkham City video game is mostly what I based my casting choices off of.

Didn't see Dexter this year? You're better for it. Lemme know when you start checking Justified and FNL out man, I wanna hear your thoughts.
How could I have left Louie off my list? that season was groundbreaking for a sitcom. an absolute master piece especially the Iraq episode. wow
This season of Dexter is all over the place. I'm not sure what to think about it.

I saw this movie and wanted to be a Nerf Herder. That job sounded legit.

^ oh really? That's pretty sweet. I have her on here for her voice work as Catwoman in Arkham City.. It was probably my favorite take on that character out of every Batman related piece I've seen/played/read.

This is an amazing list and I can't say mine would be any different in selection at all; just in order slightly. And seriously, just how happy are WE to be finally getting the next Martin McDonagh masterpiece. I literally just watched In Bruges again last night.

Michael Bay might not be much of a director but you gotta love the mans ability to put a good score in his movies.

I was so damn close to buying that LOST set over the black friday weekend.

You and me have 12 in common too. When I'm watching a movie with my family I always spout out random ass trivia and they look at me with a mix of amazement and concern lol.
Very revealing stuff here...I do the same thing on your #14. Weird. lol

I didn't read your list but I know it's awesome ;p
lol @ #2 and funny how #9 is the only one from Crystal Skull
2. hahaha gets me every time
I also like when Shia is gonna pick up Indy's hat and he's like back off bitch.

Whom I forgot to add to my favorite actors list. Damnit, I knew I was forgetting someone
I love Newman, love Brando, love Grant and all of the above... but there is only one McQueen for me.. it's of no disrespect to the others that they're not listed.

1.?! U missed this over Summer? I have the b-ray due soon. 2. done it-love it. 3..?...?....I guess I really don't kno U? (foolin' w/ya)
1 and 3 I really dug both! Actually liked C&A a lot though I was really surprised, didn't think it looked that good from the trailers and the reception was crappy, but I had a good time!

^ I didn't at first either.. and than I saw him in some interviews and gobbled up his GQ article where he mentioned it.
So much love for this list. I never knew Fassy was a redhead but there are 23948657 diff shades of red.

I don't know who this Emilia Clarke person is, but she is very pretty.

Totally. Fox and the Hound kills. Then again, I tend to like tragedies.
LOVE The Emperor's New Groove. Earths Kitt and Patrick Warburton were amazing. WRONG LEVER!!!
Herc!!
Lion King's awesome too, Aladdin and Treasure Planet as well, nice!!

Hahaha This list is great, and a lot of these sound like me!! The only one I disagree on is the cilantro one... I can never have enough cilantro. When the day comes that we meet and we all go out to eat and your food has extra cilantro on it, I will be a happy camper as it means that there's more for me! haha :-D
5. Fuck yes. COME AT ME BRO!
6. There will be murders
7. Oh my god seriously, don't waste my time. I could be out slaying classless jabbering theater patrons instead of waiting.
14. HA! Thought I was the only obsessive consumer that took part in this. The one in the back is always nicer, less finger grease.
16. Cilantro is a delectable garnish undeserving of such hate. MOTHER FUCKER I'M TRYING TO EAT HERE
19. I'm going to have to disagree with you on a multitude of accounts. Now hear me out because I think you might actually learn something from someone as profoundly educated as myself but blah bleh blah...(brace yourself for endless douche-like pedantry)
Hilarious and awesomely honest list dude!

I agree with all of these (especially #1) except for Jack. Idk bald tattooed chicks just scare me.

I almost took my bro's eye out with the pizza shooter....wow..memories!
Oh man, the birthday I got the JP compound was a glorious one. The kid with the sinister smile always cracked me up, like "yeah, I'm releasing murderous dinos and loving it." And of course SNES is also my most cherished console but I can't believe you listed Earthworm Jim, wow dude...just wow, you get me lol
dude I read this after I made mine. SCARY. WE ARE TWINS!!!
Sock em boppers, holy shit!!!

His performance in Eastern Promises was one of the best I have ever seen. Only Aragorn can kill two dudes while butt ass naked in a sauna.
Thought The Road was a pretty bland and mediocre movie but he was GREAT in it

just a question how do you says 00's? is it oh-oh's? I mean there's eighties, nineties and then... oh-oh's?
=P
but damn, I STILL haven't seen City of God, I love crime films and I hear it's one of the best but just haven't got around to it... gotta find it somewhere
^^ thanks guys, it's not my favorite decade, the 80's is... This is just an honorable mention (especially cause LOTR is my favorite movie of all time).
City of God is all kinds of fantastic... all of these movies are (not much of a fan of Gladiator no Dark Knight... but w/e)

Based on a list by MonsterZeroNJ
Incredible list! The 00's list I could argue. But, not a single bad choice on this!!!

Very nice sir.
I must see the LOST ladies in more roles. And in various states of undress.
Whoa, what a cool list. I felt so bad for De Ravin in the Hills Have Eyes. I like Jeff Fahey as the cook in Planet Terror. Lot of the actors are in some of the same movies.

I also disliked Daryl initially, but I'm a sucker for the redemption character.. the bad-ass who starts off as a prick and eventually turns into a hero who is protective of his group. That explains my love for Sawyer (Lost), Boromir (LOTR), and Wild Bill (Band of Brothers).
I liked Daryl from the start because as soon as he walked on I could tell he was going to fill the likable rogue spot in the group. but I also expected him to die since Reedus was credited as a guest star. I hope he becomes a staple.

#2 and #11
I love movies that put my overactive imagination to good use.
Dude, I saw Child's Play when I was like 6. And I had a My Buddy doll (pretty much the inspiration for the Good Guy doll). He wasn't my buddy after that.

I was in TOTAL agrrement, until you screwed it up there at the end. ;)
Nice! I saw the original Raiders at a special preview and was raving about it to everyone at school. They didn't know what the hell I was talking about...they found out a few weeks later!

Haha, dude, you're gonna have to share my beard with the woodland creatures that inhabit it.
I don't hate Michael Bay, I just hate what he has become and what he did to several horror movies and Megan Fox.
LOL @ thunderballs! And marijuana submarine wins. Dude, if I'm epic birthday cake Riddick, that makes you Dwayne Johnson son. Also, substitute Aliens with JP or LotR at will. =)

Yknow, I remember doing the same for #9 those are indeed fun times.

I actually watched 2 or 3 episodes back in 2006. It wasn't bad.. a little too cheesy for me but not bad at all.
I love that Karl Urban is on here. And Fiennes!? Classy dude, he should be a major household name with how talented he is.

@WP - thanks bro.. and Yes, those are 2 of my favorite X-Files episodes. Home especially creeped me out, it was about 3 inbred brothers that murdered people.. fucked up stuff.

^ I think it's a type of record.. But I didn't have one so I used that as Colt 45 instead ;)

Dude, this is seriously one of the greatest lists of all time!!! I am really honored that DA and I got to be Carl and Ellie... that's kind of poignant, and like you said in your comment, it makes perfect sense. Thanks, again! :-D

OH yeah the Shinning is one of those movies that manage to creep me out

I know the Anakin vs. Obi-Wan duel is full of terrible dialogue, but I can't help fangirling and loving it anyway. You're right, there is little emotion or tension because of how awful that trilogy is, so you don't care as much as you should (or at all). Still, I thought the fight choreography was good and even though he's also saddled with bad lines, Ewan does the best he can with them.
It's just.. it's too long, they're on floating bots in lava streams.. I dunno.. I got bored with it and hated it.
You're right about Ewan though, he does the best he can with it and is actually quite good... Episode III is his shining moment, that was brilliant casting.
I know exactly what you mean about the overlong, horribly written, plodding duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan. There was no rhythm and I kept waiting for things to kick into high gear. And I remember thinking that super short battle between QG and DM was dope as shit too, despite being brief. Man, the prequel trilogy may be flawed in more ways than our modern economy but I had a great time experiencing episode 1 in theaters. Great memories there.

lol yeah I know, but I also thought that was too easy.. I wanted to spice it up (also why I didn't use Quinn or the joker).. And after seeing him in Thor and he's leading an attack against The Avengers I wanted him at the helm!
Dude, I have always loved this drawing of Dark Phoenix! Greatlist!

Some GREAT choices here! Nice choice on brains. Brains and agility and strength all-in-one.
I just realized this list was probably supposed to be filled up with all superheroes... whooops lol

Based on a list by LegendarySuit
^ I'm with ya man. To be perfectly clear, I don't like The Last Stand, Blade Trinity, Major League 3 OR Beverly Hills Cop 3.. but the first 2 in each trilogy are either some of my favorite all-time movies or just 2 movies that I really, really dig, so I wound up including them in this list.
Can't believe the "Man With No Name" trilogy is nowhere to be found. It would probably be tops on my list.

I dont feel like anyone says that Sarah Jessica Parker is hot, therefore I dont think she is "overrated." Shes a fashion icon becuase of her old tv show, but so is Donatella Versace and she looks like a melting clay sculpture of Janice from the Muppets.
WTH bro, you're on point with these lists! My heads starting to hurt from all the nodding. Glau, Paltrow, Jovavich and hell yeah on Jolie (these ladies are wafer thin and that does not equal attractive in my book). I never knew Parker was widely considered attractive (I feel so guilty judging these people who are obviously far more attractive than me). Diaz was smoking in The Mask but fell off after that. Only one I completely disagree with is Saldana, I find her sizzleeeeen! Despite her grotesque thinness too. I think her cool ass personality and smile are winning me over.

is it weird that i am actually semi-interested in breaking dawn? i mean, bill condon directing and all
Other than Tintin (been a massive fan ever since I can remember), Moneyball is definetly my most anticipated movie! Anybody read the book? any good?
and, no love for The Muppets?!

Magneto is always going to be the best! No matter what age he's in. I'd join the Brotherhood.

^Yeah I don't really have too many for their own list so I figured I'd put it all into one uber-super list of my favorite comic-characters ever :)
There's an abject lack of The Tick on these lists.
Also, you need some Stephanie Brown Batgirl. Probably my favorite series of the past two years.
Great list. I have always struggled with The Flash. I mean, one well placed banana peel and he is toast :-)

Based on a list by tbondrage99
King Kong?! Cheater!! lol
I think I'm gonna go add Clover to my list now.. =P
good picks!

*hands you my laptop*
I can never make a list this good. I hand over my computer to you sir.
LOL, dig the list and the Magneto pic. Almost as if Fassbender would be saying, "Stop, no more actors are needed for this list."
I love me some The Abominable Snowman too.
