I'm stoked as hell about the Jaws blu-ray specs and the restoration detail. Was there ever any doubt that Spielberg would handle this release perfectly?
Jaws and Indy were the last two landmark blu-ray releases I was dying to get and both will be here this fall. Excellence.
^ Ha, same dude! It fueled my obsession and fascination of sharks as well... I'll read any book, article or news report about shark attacks or shark habits, and it all started after seeing Jaws as a kid.
Well I was doubtful, I didn't like too much the lack of care Universal put on the blu-ray for another Spielberg classic, Jurassic Park. I was expecting much more than the average image quality and extras.
@usernamenancy, in Spielberg's defense, he has gone on the record to say he regretted ever changing ET.
@baños - I thought the JP transfer was great and although it was the best it's ever looked it still wasn't as mind blowing as other older transfers. I was a fan of the extras they included though... The "Return to JP" features were great.
@Locke maybe you're right. After viewing the work done on old classics like Aliens or Star Wars, I expected similar effort on Jurassic Park being my favorite movie. And yes, Return of JP was really cool, but somehow felt brief given the opportunity of reuniting the team after all these years. Including the original and complete trailers for each movie would have been great also instead of the same one and a half minute trailers of the dvd's.
Yeah, I don't know. Perhaps I'm being nitpicky.
So excited for Jaws to finally come out on blu! I'm sure it's going to look absolutely fantastic. Although I was kinda hoping it would be given the digibook treatment...oh well, it doesn't matter...it's Jaws on blu! With this and the Indy collection coming out, I'm extremely happy. All we need now is E.T.

Jaws is coming out on Blu-Ray sweet! Jaws started my strange obsession with wanting to swim with sharks!
